Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions, is a remake of the FFT (final fantasy tactics) game for the original playstation. Square Enix has been working hard on remakes these days and they do not disappoint. This game looks better sounds better and has many new features that will fulfill all your tactical RPG needs.
these new features include:
-new characters
-beautiful cinematics
-multi player(wireless play)
-new quests
-updated sound
-and more
With all of these new features added to one of the best tactical RPGs out there, how could you deny it?
The Answer: you can't.
It was a great game in 1997 and it's a great game now.
Although i found it to be wonderful, if you didn't play it when it came out im not sure that you can fully respect the wonderfulness that is Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions.
But don't just take my advice, see for yourself, go pick up this game and play through it.
It's a great game but nothing is perfect, this version, as well as the original, starts out slow and the tutorial is nothing to be desired. Also it really is the same game, it just looks better.
Well i can't find anything else to say besides enjoy the game.

Rebirth of a Classic

This game is an eternal classic, wisely resurrected by Square Enix. Originally released in 1997, Final Fantasy Tactics was fun and addicting. 10 years later, Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions has many improvements over the original. NEW playable characters and job classes are introduced, added into the already colorful cast. The vast amount of job combinations and party formations add to the strategy aspect of this game. The storyline has also been revamped with completely re-designed cell-shaded cut scenes.
A new addition to the PSP version is multiplayer mode where one can battle along side or against friends.
This game is perfect for everyone. Certainly a must have for all Die-Hard Final Fantasy fans, this game will surely entertain even the most casual player with its captivating storyline.

A Great Tactics Game for Any Final Fantasy Fan

Overall, I like this game a lot. This is my first tactics final fantasy game and i wasn't dissapointed. I did wish that there were more Races. The Bravery and Faith component was very different. I do not like how high faith can be at your disadvantage though. The online missions feature was good but without any signal you couldn't go on missions. But the gameplay and the party system kept me hooked into it. The tactics part was a plus and kept you thinking because even when you were stronger than your enemies when training one mess up could put you in a bad situation which I think was really a challenge since you only play by selecting options on the menues, blocks in the stage and places on the map. The in battle conversations was a great feature when it came to character development but there was no way to skip it if which was annoying because the game some how doesn't let you bet it without any gameovers or restarting battles unless your a master tactician. I felt that there is no way to be bosses or to find weakness until you have already lost. The loading was to long and seemed like In addition, the battles only allowed 4 or 5 players to fight when you have to train many characters and for story battles, you can't jump ahead to see who you should pick making it almost impossible to beat a boss battle in one attempt. For that fact I had to unfortunately give the game 3 stars for fun. But it still has many parts that i liked.

Final Fantasy Delivers

I recently bought a PSP because of this game. I was impressed and I haven't stopped playing it since.
I'm on my 2nd play through trying to collect all the extra items/multiplayer items I missed on my first run through. The multiplayer option adds hours of game play if you can find someone to play with.
The story is interesting and party selection adds a lot more depth. Sound and graphics are impressive. The "long load times" or "long action time" doesn't really bother me; it's really a few seconds to watch a magic spell or summon or other special skill. This is typical of a FF game and fans shouldn't be bothered. A must have for FF fans and strategy gamers in general.
The only cons is not being able to use this over the internet with friends you don't see very often but works great when in the same room.

This has got to be the most waited game of the year for the PSP. As soon as I found out that Final Fantasy Tactics was going to be remade for the PSP, I PreOrdered it right away. If you're a Final Fantasy fan, this is a MUST GET game if you have a PSP. If you don't, then you might want to buy one. ;)
Better graphics, animation, voices, new classes, WiFi gaming play against friends... A dream come true for Final Fantasy classic fans! If you loved the one for the PSX, you'll love this one. A+

I loved the old Final Fantasy Tactics. How great is it to be able to re-live this game and be able to take it anywhere? Its awesome. Cut scenes look beautiful, and there is an all new Wi-Fi play (Ad-hoc). The only thing that bugs me about this is that the Wi-Fi modes are through the internet, they are local connections only and some items are only availible through Wi-Fi which means you need to know someone that has the game. But, for a pure re-make, its fantastic.

If you are a fan of the original tactics game, than you will love it for the psp. The game play and story stick to the original, but some extra features have been added to the gameplay. For instance there is now multiplayer action, new special characters, and new professions to master. New video cinematics have also been added in. I picked this game up last week and have hardly put it down. Only minor problem is some actions during gameplay can slow down the framerate (if you played on the psone then you know this). This game is awesome and was well worth the wait

I am excited to see a re-make of this PSone classic. I loved the title when it first apeared on the original playstation and then the GBA version was fantastic as well. Even though this game is a re-make of an older title the added content should definately make it worth another playthrough. I don't even have a PSP and i've been debating getting one.... this game has added a point onto getting one.
