    Synopsis

    Finding Nemo
Andrew Stanton, who helped write Toy Story and Monsters, Inc., co-wrote and directed this computer-animated comedy-adventure about finding a very small fish in a very large ocean. Marlin (voice of Albert Brooks) is a more-than-slightly paranoid Clown Fish who is extremely devoted to his young son, Nemo (voice of Alexander Gould), the only survivor after an undersea predator swallowed up Nemo's mother and her other offspring. It's not Marlin's nature to explore unfamiliar waters, but when he and Nemo are accidentally separated near the Great Barrier Reef en route to Nemo's first day of fish school, Marlin gathers his courage and sets out to find his son. What Marlin doesn't know, however, is that while Nemo was looking at a boat passing on the surface, he was caught in a net and given a new home in a dentist's aquarium. As Marlin searches for his son, he makes friends with a friendly but absent-minded Regal Blue Tang named Dory (voice of Ellen DeGeneres), a Great White Shark named Bruce (voice of Barry Humphries) who is trying to cut fish out of his diet, a beach-rat Sea Tortoise named Crush (voice of Andrew Stanton), and Nigel (voice of Geoffrey Rush), a Pelican who can take Marlin's search from the ocean to dry land. Finding Nemo's impressive voice cast also includes Willem Dafoe, Allison Janney, Eric Bana, Stephen Root, and Brad Garrett. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

The Great Barrier Reef is full of dangers, especially if you are a tiny clown fish, and for Marlin, a single parent determined to protect his only son Nemo, there are constant fears and anxieties. On Nemo's first day of school, he decides to defy his father and swims off alone to investigate a boat, where he is suddenly scooped up by a diver. Marlin frantically swims off in search of his son and bumps into Dory, an agreeable blue tang with severe short-term memory loss, who offers to help. Together this aquatic odd couple set out on an impossible mission, finding themselves in troubled waters and contending with such hazards as sharks, deadly angler fish, and a mine field of jellyfish. Meanwhile, in a dentist's office overlooking Sydney Harbor, Nemo has landed in a fish tank that is home to a colorful group of characters who want to initiate him into their gang. When word of Marlin and Dory's ocean adventures gets back to Nemo, he becomes motivated to move forward with a daring escape plan of his own.

good movie . but it say's it comes with the ultraviolet copy. but it dose not ! good thing i checked in front of them at customer service when i picked it up from there. everyone thought it did. their computer said it did. but i noticed it said nothing on cover. so i asked them to open it to make sure before i left. and it matched to be the right scu with info in their description. but it dose not have the digital copy or come with it. so they returned it . and i had to go with one that had dvd,blu-ray,digital, 3D to get it. bummed more money then i planed. but i do have a 3D tv. just don't use that feature much and did really want the 3D. but i did get my digital copy . love the movie though. i was hoping they would have fixed in their data. but as you can see it still says it. comes with digital copy! not !!!!

In my list of Disney/Pixar films I put Nemo near the middle of the lists at number 6. The last of the Pixar films to come to blu ray. Let us wait & see how many times in the next few years they re-release it. Good film, funny with a heart. I just do NOT like one of the major characters, Dory. Just do NOT like the character. Nor am I a fan of the voice talent of this character. Film looks good on the blu ray. I really see no difference from the DVD version of this film. Looks good on both. I always like extras. Some good extras here, some are repeats from the original DVD version. Being a fan of the theme parks the extra on the making of the redone submarines at Disneyland is good & interesting to watch. Anyone of any age will enjoy this 5 disc set.

I watched this when I was younger and it was funny. Now I am thirty, married, and have a 15-month old. This movie was made for a parent. I couldn't help but cry a couple times because of the relationships between the father and son. And my wife and I laughed a lot, too. I have seen this movie, but I never really saw it until now, because I was incapable of feeling the emotions this film invokes. This movie is better if you have kids than if you are a kid. And it is great for kids, too! And did I mention the 3d blue ray is spectacular for this movie? Silky and beautiful on our 70-inch sharp led.

Great classic but this is the fourth 3D movie we've purchased that was originally put out in 2D and have discovered that something happens in the process of turning it into 3D that makes any fast movement in the movie shakey and blury. The faster an object moves the blurier the image - to the point that after a few minutes you feel a little nauseous. This has been universal for all 4 of the 2d to 3D movies we've bought. At least we were able to return the last two movies we purchased that were remastered in 3D due to this problem. I was so sad because I had been waiting forever to see Nemo in 3D.

I am a huge Best Buy person (especially against that online giant) and love to go into the store and talk with the sales people. They are always so willing to help and share their knowledge and insights. I was concerned about this being Blu-Ray and what was the difference (yes, I'm sure I'm behind the times) but the salesperson was so helpful and understanding and NEVER once made me feel stupid for asking my questions. I will always go to Best Buy first for any of my electronic-related shopping, and only go elsewhere if they don't have it. Thank you, big blue!

Loved this film when it first came out. Since I am building a small film library for my niece, felt that it had to include this great addition. Love the story and the fact that it puts the viewer in the character’s world under the surface of the ocean. She already loves it and I know she’ll appreciate it even more as she grows older and begins to understand some of the nuances that makes it so great for all ages.
