A: You can, but the large has 9 holes, so it should size down to fit too.
A: The other answer is good too. I make sure I am using the silver/grey clasp. The clear plastic is a piece and breaks easily as well as it doesn't seem to clasp as well. I usually try to snap it in a few times before putting it on so that the new band holes get used to clasp.
