Description
SynopsisA century and a half into the future, the American landscape looks very different from what it is today. Ecological and seismological upheaval have wreaked havoc on the continent, literally splitting the nation in two. The central U.S. has disappeared. The federal government has failed, leaving the two remaining halves to fend for themselves. The Eastern states, now known as the Atlantic Alliance, have formed a partnership with Europe and are focused on advancing cybernetic technology to survive in this strange new world. The Western states, now called the Republic of Pacifica, have formed an alliance with Asia, and through genetic advancements they are restructuring their inhabitants' DNA. The two regions remain locked in a tense sort of peace until 2161, when rumors of unauthorized military preparation in Pacifica lead the newly restored President to order a strike in the heart of Pacifican territory. Now the two sides are engaged in a brutal war with global implications. In the world of the not-so-distant future, who will triumph in an epic conflict where technology is pitted against genetics? In the stunning, all-too-possible world of Fracture, you play as Jet Brody, a demolitions expert with the Atlantic Alliance Army. Wield explosive, terrain-deforming weaponry that doesn't just destroy, but actually transforms the battlefield to your advantage. But be careful, for the genetic enhancements wrought by the Republic of Pacifica have given its soldiers extraordinary, superhuman powers. Experience heart-pounding excitement as you stride onto the battlefields of the future and take part in a devastating conflict whose roots lie in ethical quandaries that face our society even today.

The campaign is fun...but you know what to expect. The same bad guys over and over again. The bosses are easy to beat. But its fun playing with terrain deformation. This makes the whole game worth playing. But once you finish the campaign you will be tired of it just as fast...so you will try online play. And this has to be the worst online gameplay I have ever seen. Its not as fun as the campaign and there are only 10 people online at one time. Online feels incomplete compared to the campaign play. I hope they try to make a fracture 2. And take time to make it right. Games like halo, COD, GOW are so far advanced when it comes to shooters, especially online. Games like fracture have to come hard to compete.

The concept of the weapons are new inovative and fresh. Their delivery in the game was fairly well done but the one thing that I can't get over is the size of the enemy, they look so small from a short distance and yet they are your size. The way the weapons deform the environement is like nothing ever done before but not enuf to carry this game to a top contender spot. At $19.00 though, this game is good enough to get, plus hey 1000 ahievment points.

Fracture is just simply put...average.
The single player was decent enough to play through more than once in my opinion and the whole concept of raising and lowering terrain and using it towards ur advantage is always a nice idea...it feels a little sluggish sometimes thoug. The game is fun but simply put that it can get difficult in a lot of places..and the multiplayer was just an average multiplayer game. But at least its better than Force Unleashed.

The game is amazing, the graphics in the movies and gameplay is above average. The weapons system in this game is extremely diverse (sniper, freeze gun, all types of rocket and grenade launchers), and the enemies as well. The only downside to this game is that its a bit repetative when it comes to the enemies. They are different dont get me wrong but when a flood of them comes at you and you can kill all of them without dieing, and then it happens again, and again, and again, i think most of you get my point. Now dont get me wrong dont let this review change your mind on getting the game, i mean the simple fact that you can change any terrain in the whole game is what turned me on to it in the first place. But yeah just try the game for yourselft dont let me decide whether or not to buy it. Over all its a great game and i would definitly recommend that you get it.

If you like HALO and shooting at tiny targets jumping around while your targets shield is constantly replenishing this is the game for you.
Also if you like shooting a big rock at your opponent and grenades that turn into hurricanes and kill everything around, EVEN you. THIS IS THE GAME FOR YOU.
Online is just bad, really bad and at the moment no one is really playing.
This is because it is BAD!!!
IF a half or even a quarter of star was available thats what you would see.
