Q: Will it hold a 1.5L wine bottle? If so, how many?
A: Can hold 6 bottles of wine, if my memory serves. I used to own one. To get them all to fit the metal racks are easily removable. From the picture it appears to hold 2 or 3 bottles with the racks intact.
Q: Can this go inside a media console with ventilation on the back?
A: From the User Guide: This Beverage Cooler is designed to be free standing installation only, and should not be recessed or built-in (Fully recessed). Allow 5 inches of space between the back and sides of the beverage cooler, which allows the proper air circulation to cool the heat sink.

A: It is a thermoelectric cooler, meaning it runs quiet on little power and only gets about 20 deg colder than room temperature. Say it's in your 72 deg basement, cans of beverage would get to about 52 deg. Nice and cool. But not as cold as a 34 deg traditional refrigerator unit.
