Frigidaire - 24" Tall Tub Built-In Dishwasher - Stainless-Steel

Pros: I love the high temp wash features, it makes me feel as if the dishes are really getting clean (hopefully it works correctly). If you load the dishes correctly, they will all get cleaned. The cycles are pretty quiet. Cons: If you don't load the dishes exactly as per instructions or don't pre-clean any stuck on food, the food remains and/or there will be a residue (even w/ jet-dry). The racks have been steadily deteriorating since @ the 6th month of ownership. The plastic coating has peeled off of many surfaces exposing a rusted metal undercoat. The bottom rack wheels keep falling off when you try to push the rack in. Somehow the steam from the dishwasher escapes out of the appliance and has ruined the underside of our countertop. Last and least, the door handle is awkward & tough to open.

This is the worst dishwasher I've ever had. We've had it 5 years now and it NEVER cleaned well. Now it needs to be replaced as I end up having to wash 1/2 the dishes over again. The racks are all rusted out as well . . . that started after the first year! I also have a Fridgadaire refrigerator and I am not happy with that either. I would strongly recommend not buying anything by this brand. I wrote them a letter after the first year stating how displeased I was and they did nothing accept send me a letter apologizing - ever after I spent a total of $4500 on all my appliances.

We purchased this...let's see...just over a year ago. Guess what. It just broke. Hmmm, just after the warranty expired. How convenient. I guess it doesn't want to work for free anymore. We had started having trouble about two months ago when it wouldn't drain. After punching buttons like a monkey on a typewriter, we finally got it to work. It cleaned well for about another month or so, now it is completely broke. Perhaps there's some copper wire inside I can salvage.

We built a new home almost 2 years ago, and bought ALL Frigidaire appliances (it was the only brand that the vendor we used carried). After several months, we had to have our washing machine completely replaced! Our stove is a piece of junk too due to poor design, but I will focus on the dishwasher since that is what I am reviewing here. Our dishwasher has NEVER worked properly. We had a technician out two times to "fix" it, but the same problem continues to occur, and it is no longer under warranty. The high temp rinse doesn't work, and the machine just runs & runs. The high temp thermometer is bad (which is what was replaced), and it also controls the release of the soap dispenser door... which means that the soap is not released. We have to manually open the dishwasher & dispense the soap ourselves mid way through the cycle. And finally, I thought that the "heat dry" setting would mean that the dishes were dry (or at least relatively dry) when the cycle completed. However, my dishes are soaking wet no matter what. I have to leave the door open for a few hours in order to air dry the dishes before putting them away. We are now looking to buy a new dishwasher after only a year and a half! I wish we had demanded our money back in the beginning rather than attempting to have it fixed. As someone else stated above, I wrote to Frigidaire, and they did nothing but apologize! I cannot wait to replace ALL of my appliances with a different brand!!!

Had to have electric componets replaced, twice. Then the motor went out after a year and a half. Now wonder the warranty is for one year. Total junk.

The only good thing I can say for this "dishwasher" is that it was inexpensive ( you get what you pay for!) and it looks fairly nice (stainless), other than that this is a terrible machine. It has never washed dishes and dishes come out dirtier than when I put them in. I rinse all dishes and essentially wash them by hand before putting in the "washer". As I said, they come out dirtier. I have owned it for 2 years and it has never worked very good. I am at Best Buy again to shop for a new dishwasher and I can assure you it will not be a Frigidaire.
