Q: can you use cast iron on this stove top?
A: Hi, Fred! The short answer is yes, you can. We do recommend taking great care with cast iron as it is very rough and can easily scratch the cooktop if it slides. Please lift it when it needs to be moved or use a protective mat underneath. ~Ashton

Works Great But be careful
Everything works great but mines broke in 1 1/2 year, pot hit the side and a line ran from side to side.

Good cooktop for the price
I bought this cooktop to replace my 30 year old Jennair. I needed a new cooktop right away but did not want to spend a lot of money on one. I plan to do a complete kitchen renovation in a few years. This cooktop looks nice and seems to do the job. So as long as it last 3-4 years I’ll be happy.
