- A: AnswerIts because the measurements are wrong. The height of the microwave isnt 15.625" its over 16.. almost 16.5".... one would think they would list the true measurements since we have to order and install them in a hole in an already designed kitchen. I waited 2 months for mine to be delivered and there is tile that goes just under the bottom lip of the mounting bracket ... that shouldnt have interfered if the measurements were correct.... Im guessing maybe an old version of this was 15.625" and they didnt bother updating the meaurements.. lazy ...and their explanation that there is an inch of clearance for installation at 45* is stupid. that would mean sitting on the support bracket there would be an inch gap between the top of the microwave and the bottom of the cabinet.

Great looking zero clearance door microwave
We purchased this microwave as we needed one with a "zero clearance door". The microwave is not installed above an oven, but between two cabinet sides that are exactly 30" (see photo). Thus no room for the door to swing open without hitting the cabinet. There are very few manufactures other than Frigidaire who make zero clearance models. We love the look of this unit without the handle as we did not want a mismatch of styles, handles and brands of ovens, refrig, etc. This one is very nice looking, quiet and so far works very well. It was very easy to take down exist and replace with templates provided.

Soo pleased!
This microwave is everything I wanted. There were very few built-in microwaves that were less than 16 inches in height. This one fits in the space and actually seems to sit back a little more than the previous one. Its roomy, bright, and easy to use. It has a silver frame around the front of the door so it’s not necessary to touch the front of the microwave. That keeps fingerprints to a minimum. The light over the stove is nice and bright, so is the digital clock display. That may bother some but I am okay with it. The inside even seems roomier and brighter than the one it teplaced. (Couldn’t get a snap of it without a reflection. )The second snap shows a 1 3/4 Corningware dish for size info.
