A: It is not a smart TV, what I have done is use a Roku 4K stick. It fits in the back under the cover for the connections. I left the WiFi antenna sticking out for better connection to WiFi. The Roku is also powered by the USB port on back of the TV so I don't need an extra power cord. Works great
Q: How do you hook up a cable box to the outdoor tvs
A: I do not use this with a cable box, what I have done is use a Roku 4K stick. It fits in the back of the TV, under the cover for the connections. If all you have is cable, I think that would present a problem, bringing all the cables etc. outside.

Q: Can you use wireless cable with this tv,
A: Not sure about wireless cable, but we were easily able to use one of the HDMI slots for an Amazon Fire TV stick. The benefit to this also was that we are able to use the Amazon remote to control the TV - this is a huge bonus, since the included remote is difficult to use, IMO; it's designed to be waterproof, and the buttons are fairly small, flat, and not very responsive - it is a chore to change from one HDMI slot to another (so our kids can play Nintendo), which requires the included remote. Great TV, though - speaker is wimpy, but we're very pleased!

A: In my humble opinion there are Better (indoor&smart) TVs than whats available for outside, and cheaper too. For instance just bought a Samsung 43 Smart wifi QLED for my son at sub $600 from BB.
