A: The vivoactive 3 will allow you to accept a phone call directly on the watch, but you would use the phone in order to speak with the caller. The watch allows you to accept or decline the phone call on iOS and Android phones. If you are using an Android phone you would be able to respond to a text message with some pre-loaded responses. To use these features the phone and vivoactive 3 have to be connected with one another.
Q: Does this show the altimeter in real time, such as during an activity, like the Fenix? Thanks.
A: The vivoactive 3 does have the ablity to set a data field to display elevation during an activity.
A: Jonathan, In order to achieve a high level of corrosion resistance, stainless steel is used on the vivoactive 3. Stainless steel alloys contain small amounts of Nickel. Although the parts comply with EU Nickel Release limit standards for metals in continuous contact with skin, people with Nickel sensitivities or allergies may still have a reaction. |BB|
Q: Can I see WhatsApp with this watch?

A: Howdy! The way BestBuy inventory works is that it will be listed as coming soon before the product is available for sale, and once that date is reached it changes to reflect how many they have on hand. So as of now it is allowed to be sold by BestBuy but they haven't actually received any from Garmin yet. It's a little confusing because it implies for it to be sold out some must have been sold, but that is not the case yet.
A: The vivoactive 3 does not have any mapping or routing features on the device by default. There are options for Connect IQ apps that can offer some course/navigation options, but those features will very from app to app. Out of the box this device will not have any mapping options.
Q: What size is the watch band? Is it interchangeable?
A: 20mm watch band with quick release pins. Yes, it is interchangeable.
A: i installed the beta version of the connect app,and it shows calories burned per day. in fact it breaks them in at rest and active. The watch-face I downloaded (not the one that comes with the watch) also shows calories, though not divided by active and at rest the last part i do not know
