Q: Does this machine have a problem with mold or bad smell? How large is the drum
A: During installation, I asked the same question and there are some precautions you should take to prevent a smell or build up of mold. After washing for the day (not after each wash) leave the washer door open to allow it to dry completely.. I take the extra step of giving a quick wipe in the rubber fold on the door. The drum is very spacious. I have a family of three and the only time I filled it up was when I washed a whole lot of bedding.

A: Hi MJE- The washer has not been tested or approved for use with platforms other than Optional Pedestal Accessory SBSD137HWW (Sold Separately). GE cannot recommend altering, redesigning, or modifying an appliance, part, or accessory. Our products are designed, tested and manufactured to specific specifications.
