Let me set some expectations... but NEAR PERFECT!!

Honestly, this thing is pretty stellar. I have some positives and some negatives, but the pros DEFINITELY outweigh the cons. Let me set some expectations... Pros: 1) First and foremost, this machine is CONVENIENT. Put dirty clothes in and clean clothes come out DRY?! Wild. My 10 year old Samsung W&D both completely failed within the span of a few days... I needed an excuse to buy this as I've been eyeing it ever since it's release. And here was my excuse! I was hoping for my current set to last until there was a single unit that could also fold, but I suppose this will suffice. Maybe in the next 25 years... 2) Efficiency! It is super energy efficient. It is a closed-loop heat pump system only needing a 120v outlet. Maximum wattage usage is about 550-600w, which is REMARKABLY low, especially compared to a standard electric set. So expect typical cycle usage of about 1.5kWh-ish. 3) No vent! It's an underrated feature, but it gives you the ability to truly put this anywhere (that has access to a 120v plug, hot and cold water, and a drain). It also lets you close an opening to your home, increasing your home air-tightness. Also, something less that needs to be cleaned! 4) App and overall interface... it's very simple to use and the display/LED ring is pleasing to the eye (I love me some RGB). The notifications are a life saver. It will also tell you when the lint screen/filter needs to be cleaned, which is great because I'm notorious for forgetting. If you don't clean this, your clothes WILL NOT DRY! 5) Microban protection... It's a GE exclusive feature (as far as I know) and I'm very much looking forward to reduced mold growth and hopefully less cleaning, especially compared to my Samsung. 6) Build quality... This thing is a TANK. You can tell that it is well built and sturdy, with high quality parts. I hope that it lasts for many years to come! Cons (not really "bad" per-se, just things to be aware of): 1) Weight... Piggybacking off of it being a TANK, this machine is HEAVY. Like, H.E.A.V.Y. You WILL hurt yourself if you try to move this by yourself. I consider myself pretty strong but I can barely scoot this thing by myself. Good luck moving it post-install if you need to... 2) Drum size... So it's technically bigger than my previous washer @ 4 cu ft. 4.8 isn't small! BUT considering this is a dryer as well, it is a bit small. Clothes fluff up as they dry and ideally, in order to prevent wrinkles, you need extra space. A typical dryer is now 6 to 9 cu ft. BIG difference. This is mostly a non-issue for me, as I prefer to do smaller loads anyways. I never fill the drum up more than halfway unless it's a large blanket or towels. If you do either of those, expect cycles of over 2.5 to 3 hours. It WILL do it, just will take more time. I also use and recommend using the "More Dry" function. 3) Time it takes to complete a load... again, non-issue for me, but don't expect 2 hours on the dot for every load. It is DEFINITELY longer than a typical W&D set. But you also have to remember that you're saving a wild amount of energy, and you don't have to switch machines. The convenience factor greatly outweighs this in my personal opinion. Ideally, and if I could afford it, I'd have two of these. But honestly, only having one is fine for the majority of scenarios. 4) Price... yes, this is expensive, even compared to a top of the line W&D separate set. Sometimes you can get a decent price during a sale. However, the premium is justified in my opinion, especially to be at the cutting edge of tech. 5) Lack of color options... (a nitpick, I know). But it would be nice to have more options. This "Carbon Graphite" color works well for me, but may not for someone else. 6) Dryness... items come out 99% dry (typically when using sensor dry). Another non-issue for me, because once you pull them out and give them a shake, they're dry. No reason to use more energy! TL;DR: It's amazing and I'll never go back to a traditional system.

I do laundry in my sleep

I love this thing, I can’t say enough how MUCH I love it. No it will not be as fast as a separate washer and you can do one load at a time. You know what I don’t have to do anymore….have time to wait to switch the load or remember. Nope just throwing it in go to bed and boom I have clean fresh clothes to go in the morning, just like a dishwasher. It’s one less thing, for me that’s a game changer that gave back my time now I literally can do laundry in my sleep. One thing, it takes time to adjust to the drying, try a few methods, work the different options. We use the wrinkle care for example for doing it over night that way it’s dry but stays wrinkle free. Also leave little room, you can’t over pack these. It will work but drying will vary.

    I am in love!

This thing is amazing!!!! I absolutely LOVE my new w/d combo! We have a super small laundry room and opting for a one machine option freed up much needed extra storage space. Yay! We also opted for the pedestal to raise it a little, and it’s perfect! So easy to use. Put your clothes in, start it, and walk away! No need to wait until the washer is done so you can switch it out before you leave so your clothes don’t get smelly. (That is honestly the best part!) Our clothes are also coming out cleaner and fresher than ever before, and seem to stay that way longer. I was worried about some reviews stating that clothes could feel damp when the dryer cycle is done. And they do. But! The video you watch with the set up tells you to just shake the item out a voila it’s dry. True story! It works! And now I actually love that the dryer is ventless! Overall, I am super pleased with this machine and I would 100% recommend! You won’t be disappointed!
