Have a Geek Squad Installer quickly and professionally connect your 50" class and smaller TV to your video components. We'll also add an Internet-capable TV and video components to an existing wireless network, perform any needed software or firmware updates, and configure a smart TV or smart Blu-ray player apps for media streaming. In addition, we will program the remotes that come with your equipment, ensure that all wires and cables are neatly dressed, and make sure the work space is clean when we finish. We offer a 90-day limited workmanship warranty on our TV Connect.

  • Before we begin: When we arrive at your home, we'll discuss the scope of work to ensure that services purchased meet your needs and expectations. If they don't, we'll recommend solutions.
  • Setting up your TV: We'll connect one new or existing TV to video components (like a cable/satellite box or a DVD/Blu-ray player) in a single room.
  • Connecting to a home network: We'll add any Internet-capable TV or video devices in the room to an existing wireless network, and we'll perform any critical software or firmware updates.
  • Setting up peripherals: We'll configure up to two smart TV or Blu-ray player apps for streaming, establish functionality of 3D glasses for TV if necessary, and program a non-learning-type, manufacturer-supplied remote control.
  • Professional look: We'll make sure that all wires and cables are neatly dressed and that wire ties are used when necessary.
  • Cleaning up: After the installation, we'll clean up the work area and remove any packaging your products came in. We'll perform haul-away and recycling if it was previously ordered by the customer and is part of the work order.

Q: Will you install a tv not purchased at best buy?

A: You can purchase a TV Installation + Mounting service from the Geek Squad no matter where you bought your TV.

Q: old tv removal

A: Yes, you can have your old TV recycled by Best Buy if you purchase a new one through them.

Q: Does this include the mount, or does it have to be purchased?

A: Very few TVs come with a mount in the box. If your TV did not come with a mount, you would need to purchase one. A mount is not included w/the service.

Q: Does this set-up include calibration?

A: Calibration is available from the Geek Squad. Typically, they recommend you have 60-100 viewing hours on your TV prior to having it calibrated. The calibration service is not included in the setup service/TV Connect.

Q: I have already purchased a Rocketfish mount (32-70") from Bestbuy, and want to know if I can take advantage of this offer using this mount, or must I purchase one of the cited mounts on the webpage?

A: Waldo - the Geek Squad is able to setup and mount your TV no matter where you purchased the mount or the TV. You are able to have them use your Rocketfish mount.

Q: IF I PURCHASE A 50" TV online, does delivery include hauling away an old tv for recycling and plugging in my new tv for $99.99?

A: Hi Gramyah - haul away/recycling is a service Best Buy and the Geek Squad can provide. Depending on the codes in your state there may be a nominal recycling/haul-away charge. You would need to select haul-away/recycling at time of purchase.

Q: Does your $99 install for a less than 50 inch TV include delivery AND programming of a Comcast XFINIYTY remote

A: Yes, the TV Connect service would cover the delivery with source remote setup.

Q: Is your work insured? Like If my TV falls and breaks, through no fault of my own, will you replace it?

A: The Geek Squad offers a 90 day installation guarantee. If something doesn't feel right after Geek Squad does the work, they will make it right.
