Q: what is dia. size and length of this bulb?
A: I don't know the actual dimensions, but It's equivalent to a PAR30 spot/flood light. So any recessed can that's rated for PAR30 or larger, or any open socket (like a standard outdoor floodlight) will work.
Q: If I have an Echo Show do I need a separate hub to use this bulb?
A: No, you do not need a separate hub. I used the Geeni app to setup the device and then went to the Alexa app and it found it. Good instructions are included.
