Trying out different switches, replacing old ones, and matching several types of mechanical keyboard switches used to be difficult and required extreme technical skill. We changed that with the GMMK Barebones features easy-to-use hot swappable switch sockets, so you can plug switches in and out to your DIY preference. No need for soldering. Its RGB illumination can be programmed for any color combination without hassle. Ever wonder what Gateron Blues felt like? Or what is the craze behind the Cherry MX clears? Want to use Gateron Reds for your WASD keys, but Gateron Blacks for the rest? With the GMMK Barebones, you no longer have to purchase an entirely new keyboard, or disassemble and solder your switches – you can simply pop out the switch just like a keycap, and mix/match to test out and use any combination of switches you desire. The GMMK is revolutionizing the mechanical keyboard market, giving users full control without needing any technical experience.
Q: What are the switches required for the keyboard?
A: undefined
A: Pretty much nothing else. The board comes with the attached USB cable. The RGB is already on the PCB, and the top plate and stabilizers are already installed. It likely comes with a key cap puller and a switch puller, for swapping out switches and caps. Just a heads up, too. The Glorious switches are a 5 pin design, so the Lynx/Fox/Pandas they sell aren't compatible unless you snip the two posts off. The Kailh switches are fine, as are any 3-pin gasket mounted switch. Hope this helps :)
