Genre: Action, Sci-Fi, Giant Monster Length: 91 minutes / 125 minutes "Mechagodzilla, the superior-armed, state-of-the-art, all-robot version of Godzilla, is undergoing repairs after his devastating battle against the world's monsters. As the great robot near's completion, a series of mysterious incidents rocks the world and awakens Godzilla, who unleashes a reign of terror against Tokyo. Mothra joins him and Japan's desperate prime minister has no choice but to launch the unfinished Mechagodzilla against Mothra and Godzilla. But who will fight for whom? And in the end - will the survivor be monster, robot, or man?" "Earth has been relatively peaceful since Godzilla was successfully buried deep in the ice beneath the South Pole. Then several of his old nemeses return to wreak havoc on cities worldwide. A huge spaceship suddenly appears and neutralizes all the monsters in a blink. The visitors are "Xiliens" and announce that they would like to negotiate a peace treaty that would replace the United Nations with a "United Universe." It doesn't take long before their nefarious real purpose is exposed -- conquering Earth. Greatly outmatched, Earth officlals decide to de-freeze Godzilla as man's only hope to vanish the invaders." It would have been great here if both movies in this 2-pack were dealing with Mechagodzilla. Instead we have the follow-up to one and then the off-the-wall end to the Godzilla movies which is basically a battle royale. An odd pairing to the say the least. Like with the others, Destroyah and Space Godzilla should have been packaged together as well :/ Tokyo S.O.S. is a bit misinformed for the description as Godzilla and Mothra never team up to attack Tokyo. Mothra does indeed threaten to go to war with mankind if they don't discard Mechagodzilla since it uses the bones of the original Godzilla in its construction, but that never comes to happen. Instead, Mothra and its larvae come to the aid of man to fend off Godzilla. Final Wars is hard to describe... probably because it's just not that good! I'll watch anything that has Godzilla in it, but this one turned the Godzilla universe upside down. The G-man now knows kung-fu, mutants are on the planet, and 15 monters make their appearance in this one! Godzilla also takes a backseat in this movie until the end as most of it focuses on the humans and mutants rather than on the monsters. Both movies are decent but neither are awesome. The English voice-overs take a huge turn for the worse in both of these titles; especially Final Wars. I had to watch both with subtitles. Don Frye only speaks in English in Final Wars which I loved! Even if they're not the greatest movies out there, both should be a part of every Godzilla fan's collection.

If you thought Mothra's pixie emissaries were too much in "Godzilla Vs. The Thing," then these two recent Toho productions will strike you as the most ridiculous movies you've ever seen. And that, of course, is why these two films are excellent. Both are suffused with such sincere charm that you'll find yourself cheering Godzilla in every shot, especially in "Final Wars," where virtually every famous monster in the Godzilla franchise makes a cameo appearance. "Final Wars" is worth the purchase price just to watch Godzilla blow the Sony Zilla from the 1998 film away in like three seconds.

There are 2 films here: godzilla tokyo sos and godzilla final wars. Tokyo sos is a traditional godzilla film and final wars is very different. There is a long time before we see godzilla in final wars which is very different. I like both films but final wars wasn't what I was expecting. I would give it 2.5 stars. Tokyo sos is 3.5. Overall these are fun movies and a good value.

I've recently started collecting any godzilla film i could get my hands on. Every film has something of its own charm, while I'm a more 70's godzilla nut, any true fan will love I mean LOVE every look and style of godzilla from the fiftys films to the last final wars film. Its great to see all the new effects of these 2 movies from flying actors to godzillas new supercut look! I recommend it to all true godzilla fans*

With two movies being in this collection one was better than the other. The Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. is better of the two, with Godzilla taking on his classic nemesis Mecha-Godzilla. The Godzilla Final Wars movie was a little over the top even for a Godzilla movie. It did have a lot of Kaiju fights which was awesome, but most were so quick if you blinked you would have missed them.

This has two entries in the Millennium series. The choices are odd because Tokyo S.O.S. is a continuation of Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla, and Final Wars does not have any continuity with it. Final Wars is definitely polarizing among G fans, but I like it a lot. The picture and sound are fine.

If you are not a sci-fi fan don't even bother. If u like the campy sci-fi movies or u like Godzilla or King Kong or grew up in the 80's then it's a cant miss. High quality with excellent picture and sound. Action packed and well made, a huge step up and difference from the older one. Can't go wrong, a must have for your collection

absolutely loved this double feature - Worth it for Final Wars alone just to hear the shots taken at the 1998 "Godzilla". The quality of the blu Ray transfer for both films is pretty good, honestly better than I expected. If you're new to Godzilla start with the original, and work in some of these titles!
