A: I bought mine deactivated and took it to an AT&T store to activate. They said if it's just a replacement all I needed to do was swap the SIM card and I'd be good to go.

A: The pixels that best buy sells are unlocked for any US carrier on GSM and CDMA (and some over seas ones), I just took mine to china, and while the Chinese govt blocks most google services, i popped in a china mobile sim and had service within 3 min. Also I have it on google fi in the states which uses us cellular.
