Q: What type of mount is on the bottom? Like is it adhesive?
A: No, it is a clip that locks into other attachments like the GoPro clamp and separate adapters that do have adhesive backings.
Q: How do i fix
A: It is easy to cross thread the bolt. I have gotten into the habit of slowly turning the bolt backwards while pushing in until I feel a "click" that's when you know the thread lead is engaged ensuring is not going to cross thread. At that point you should be able to tighten the bolt securely without issue. Hopefully the threads aren't damaged already.
