Great Guitar Hero Game

I got a copy of this game with the purchase of GH5 with the mail in offer. I was pretty skeptical due to the past GH band-based games, but the price was right - free. Got it in and the songs are actually very fun and the appearance is excellent. The notes sync very well with the VH songs. Other songs appearing on the game not sung by Van Halen are pretty basic and can sometimes be repetative. The addition of player creation, recording studio, song facts/lyrics, and online play extend the play time but nothing really new there. I think they did a superb job with this game. It's got that explosive energy that Van Halen is known so well for.

For a guitar hero its right up there with the other titles but as a PS3 game in general its ok. It has music thats already been in Guitar Hero but there was a couple of new bands as well. I dont think the price is worth the number of tracks that you get. They might want to start thinking about doing more downloadable content instead of releasing more band specific games. I just want the new songs not a new game.

This game was GREAT for free but hopefully the "Full" game comes with more (any) options. I would have liked to see Michael Anthony on Bass but the game was free for me so I can't complain. Song list is pretty good....I was hoping to see Little Dreamer on there b/c it's one of my favs but I guess it didn't make it. I wouldn't pay $60 for the same disc I have but if they added some more tunes and some options it would be worth it. If you grew up with Van Halen before Van Haggar definitely check this out!

I am a big fan of Eddie and enjoy this game. I received this game free by mail for the purchase of Guitar Hero 5 and it is fantastic. I may be somewhat bias considering I grew up rocking to Eddie and the boys. Lots of material to unlock and the song list is great if somewhat repetetive from versions of Rockband. I would really like to see some heavier metal material come out. Maybe pull from the best of headbangers ball to start with.

cmon, i really enjoy playing guitar hero/rockband but im not paying 60 bucks for the same game with different songs
this like band hero and etc is just an addon of the previus games it should not cost more than 20 or 30 bucks
its not like i think its all overpriced, but this will be the same game as guitar hero 5 with different songs
my opinion: not worth it
