A: Thank you for your question. A paper filter is not required when using this unit. It is recommended to wet basket before putting coffee grounds in.
Q: What is the temperature of the coffee when it is first percolated?
A: All of our coffeemaker and percolators brew coffee between 175 and 185 degrees Fahrenheit.
A: To clean the stem of the appliance we recommend soaking the stem in white distilled vinegar for about 45 minutes and rinsing with soap and water. This will remove any mineral buildup inside of the stem.
