Q: Why does this humidifier keeps of shutting off after 5 seconds?
A: My Idylis would shut off also. Now I leave the fill cap bearly threaded on and it seems to work.I believe the cap on tight created a vacum
Q: can this humidifier be used in a 420 sq. ft. room?
A: 420 shouldn't be a problem at all, our room is twice as big and there's still a noticeable difference when it's on.
Q: Should the warm setting emit a warm vapor or mist as advertised?
A: I did some research and found the it takes about 20 minutes to get warm. It won't feel hot by any means, but the vapor will be warm to the touch after a several minutes. I can feel a very subtle difference with mine after it has time to warm up.
