HoMedics - UV-CLEAN Portable Sanitizer - Gray

I have this at my hair chair in my salon. I use it to sterilize my clients and my own phones, keys, rings, and my haircutting shears.

This is cloth covered plastic container which you have to zip and unzip to use which is annoying. Charge only lasts for 3 UV sanitizations. I would have preferred a plastic container without the cloth or zip. It also looks like a cheap travel toiletry bag.

Bought this because a lot of my family members are using these types of devices to disinfect daily-use objects with UVC light. I guess it's working... It's cycle is super-fast, only a minute or two, compared to some other products which subject the item to be disinfected to the UV light for up to 10 minutes. I like the little cell phone clips they give you so you can stand the phone up and get coverage on both sides. Each side of the device has 2 lights. I turned my cell phone camera on and videoed the process just to make sure they came on and they do. So yeah... here's to hoping these things aren't the next fad/scam.

I am very happy with this product overall. It does a good job of bathing your phone in UV light. I recorded a video to be sure that it was working since you cannot start the device unless it is closed properly. It holds the iPhone 11 Pro Max with the Apple Leather Case securely. I have used it to "clean" the tv remote, car key fob, wallet and credit cards. It's nice to have a little more peace of mind during the Covid 19 era. I use it right when I walk in the door after I wash my hands. I would have given it 5 stars but it requires that you position the zipper pull correctly over the magnetic area. It has to be precisely done or it will not turn on for safety reasons. That is a good thing but it makes using it a little more difficult. I have had to explain it to everyone that tries to use it.

I ordered one of these for my mom and had it shipped to her for Mother’s Day. It shipped and arrived at her house in less than a week with frequent updates to the delivery date. Seems to work great and my 81 year old mother was able to read the directions and get it all charged and working. It’s big enough to clean phone, masks, keys and credit cards. I felt more confident ordering it after I saw where another reviewer was able to actually test the machine to make sure it really did kill germs. Big kudos to Best Buy for its quick shipping and delivery in the middle of this Covid 19 mess.

Fits my phone and other items such as keys perfectly. Overall I like it so far and have no complaints. The zipper closure has not been a problem either. Yes I would recommend this if looking for a portable cleaning device. Anything that could provide some degree of protection against germs/viruses is worth trying in my opinion.

Glasses, keys and phones fit perfectly in this sanitizer. Easy to use, especially during these Covid 19 health concerns. This is a great unit as it is re-chargeable and doesn't use batteries. I need one to use at work as well.

This is exactly the same as the gray HomeMedics UV-C sanitizing bag, just a different color. The specs listed are for the pop-up phone sanitizer with 2 lights. Read the specs for the gray one to get an accurate description. Easy to use, only takes 60 seconds to sanitize anything that fits into the bag. Lightweight and rechargeable makes it convenient and quite portable. Highly recommended.
