There is a lot of science behind printing technology and the differences between cartridge/printhead designs as well as pigment and dye based inks. If you often do not print very much I recommend checking into the HP Instant Ink replacement service where you will never have to buy ink for the printer ever again. 50 pages or less a month is $2.99 per month. If you do not print all your pages that month the unused pages roll over.
