Reliable, inexpensive laser printer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer works great for what I need it to do. Very reasonable price for a fast laser printer, built in duplexer with a small foot print. Easy to setup on wireless network.

Posted .Hi, John.
I’m so sorry your printer experienced such a decline in print quality after six months. I can see how that would be very troubling, especially considering you attempted to fix the problem but it persisted. So let’s whether I can offer you some useful suggestions.
First, if you’ve not done this already, I recommend you look through this document on improving print quality in your printer:
- support.hp.com/us-en/document/ c05202849
If you believe you’ve done all you can, though, I suggest you reach out to us for direct help in troubleshooting the problem. You can contact us directly via your preferred method at this link: hp.com/contactHP
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

Good work printer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent printer, but loading envelopes difficult if the printer is not at eye level

Fast and good print quality
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best feature for me on this printer is that it never turns off but instead, goes into a standby mode. Whenever you need it, just send your document to it and it prints. Note: other brands do not do this. Other brands turn off after a lack of use (You have to turn them on every day). The other feature that I like is the low profile and the large internal paper storage. These 2 features alone, make this printer a real workhorse for me. I am using this printer in the wired connection scheme, The time for first page to print is very quick, just another plus.

Will not work on G5
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer works great. Had a problem trying to use the wireless feature because it will not work on 5G. It sure would have been nice to have gotten a heads up that this would be an issue. Fortunately I am able to use printer with my computers but not the wireless feature. Being able to use this feature would have made the purchase that much better. When I have guest over it again would be nice if they could have printed using the Wi Fi feature.

Nice monochrome printer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not great for labels as HP said but it does print nice clear pages on paper. It worked fine for a couple of weeks but then it started to leave black marks on the page. It took me two weeks to convince their techs that it was the cartridge that was bad, not the printer. This also happened with the first monochrome HP printer I bought. Best Buy does not sell this toner so I wanted HP to replace the starter cartridge as it was still 90% full. I like their printers but HP customer service has gone downhill.

Nice utilitarian laser
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced a dying color laser /scanner combo with this after deciding, as we priced replacements the need for color isn’t worth the cost. This set-up and connected to the network easily, is fast and reliably available, and will be more economical over time (smaller footprint is a plus, too).

Worst printer I have ever owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely HATE this printer! Worst $200 I have ever spent. I bought this for my second time in college and it has been nothing but trouble. Over an hour of messing with it and diagnosing problems every time I switch from wireless printing from my phone to computer. Seriously about ready to smash it with a baseball bat and I am 2 years into a computer science degree. The ONLY time it's easy to use is if you are physically connected with a USB cable.

Posted .Hi, Michael.
I’m sorry to hear that your printer has not performed like it should. It’s easy to understand why the repeated diagnosing and troubleshooting you describe would be maddening, especially in an educational context, so I’ll offer some resources and information that I hope will help.
Because you’ve done so much troubleshooting with no lasting resolution, I recommend you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and help you find a resolution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty
