      Profoundly Bad Product

You would think with a price tag placed on this HP Bluetooth mouse that it would actually work. No so. Let me state that I have a computer that is new. I have a mouse that is new. I have all updates on my computer. I have updated the driver for the mouse. I have updated the BIOS. I have made sure that all settings within services and so forth do not automatically shut off the mouse. I have also modified services so that Bluetooth services come on automatically on bootup. And YET...the mouse is truly awful. If I want the mouse to work when I boot the computer (or when I have not used the computer for a while), I have to REMOVE the mouse from Bluetooth, and then add it back in. This is not once in awhile...this is ALL the time. By the way, the new computer is also an HP. It does not give me any pleasure to give a bad review. In fact, I love to give good reviews. But, this mouse is just awful. At close to $50, I certainly should have received a mouse that actually works. Look elsewhere. (I consider the 5-star reviews as very suspect.)

I bought this HP branded mouse instead of a similarly priced Logitech in hopes that it would work well (enhanced features?) with my HP SPECTRE laptop (they were displayed together at BB). I was disappointed to find that it was, in fact, just a basic mouse with no more functionality than Logitech had 10 years ago. It will not wake-up my laptop when I click or move it instead, I have to wake-up my laptop with the touchpad. Additionally, after waking-up, it does not connect to my laptop until I click it (moving the mouse doesn't cause it to connect) and it still requires 1-2 seconds. Also, I moved my laptop from my desk to across the room without bringing the mouse and the touchpad behaved strangely (wouldn't move the pointer to outlying locations of the display) until I turned-off the mouse. Definitely not worth the price I paid (same price as a Logitech) and overall a weak effort.

Sleek peripheral for an equally sleek laptop

Needing a bluetooth mouse to go with my HP Spectre I found myself interested in this model considering it was quite new. I do like that the mouse is more of a larger size than most other portable laptop mice, but lays flatter on the table which helps reduce wrist cramping over extended periods of use. The left and right click is *very* quiet, so it's perfect for use in a study lounge or coffee shop where you don't want to draw attention to yourself with constant clicking. The feel of the mouse is a bit plastic-y and I found myself struggling to remove the top in order to replace the batteries, however other than that I really enjoy using it. The striated pattern covering the unit looks sleek and compliments my silver spectre very well.

I purchased this bluetooth mouse as an add-on to the latest generation HP Spectre x360 (which I love, please see separate review). The mouse just wouldn't sync correctly with it for several minutes after power-up. Finally gave up after a week, returned it, and went back to my existing Logitech MyAnywhere 2S, which continues to work great. Sorry about this one, I don't give 1-2 star ratings the vast majority of the time, but had to make an exception for this one.

It is a "Spectre" Mouse, yet everytime I boot my Spectre 360, this mouse is not available for use. I have to navigate in Settings to Devices/Bluetooth and unpair the "paired" Spectre mouse and then have Bluetooth "add" it again. That and two weeks after I purchased it, Best Buy lowered the price by $20.... but still. not having a mouse when your machine boots is still not worth that price.

      Great Bluetooth mouse

This is a great bluetooth mouse for my Spectre x360 I bought so that the one USB 3 port on the Spectre can be used for a flash drive while being able to use a mouse as well. The setup was easy and I've had no problems. However, I would only get this when on sale as it is at the time this is written; $50 is too much for any mouse in my opinion.

If your computer/laptop supports Bluetooth using a Bluetooth mouse is an excellent choice so that you don't use up a USB port for a wireless mouse. This mouse has better latency than other Bluetooth mouse that I've owned. However, occasionally we've noticed that it is not recognized by the laptop and we have to restart the laptop to have it work. If not for that I would have given it a 5 rating.

The mouse was designed to go with the HP Spectre x360, so I treated myself when I bought the computer. It works very well and looks nice, but I find it somewhat uncomfortable as I seem to always hold on for dear life with my thumb and the tip of my ring finger while using it. The left button should travel downward a bit more. The Bluetooth tracks very well, no jumping around onscreen.
