I have had a smartwatch ever since Sony Ericssion LiveView, which was horrid! Then the natural progression of; Pebble, Pebble Steel, LG Watch, Moto 360, LG G Watch R and now the Huawei Watch. And I have to say this Huawei watch is the best out there. The resolution is fantastic, the quality of the watch is on par with watches you buy. It is nothing like the past smartwatches. This screams quality the minute you open the box. Even the box itself is worth noting! I have a few actual watch boxes and this take the cake!! With all the merits and what the "Huatch" does really really right, it does have some flaws in my case. For one, the band. It's 18mm. Yes the included band is 18 that tapers to 22mm. This should have been 22mm from the get go. But I digress. And the other thing I don't like about it is that the watch can only mostly hear my "ok google" prompt. Yes it works, but you have to bring the watch to your face like calling KIT from Knight Rider lol. The battery is stellar, even though it's one of the smallest capacity on the market. I can squeak out 23 hours, with the only thing turned off is the tilt to wake feature. Wifi and everything else like brightness to 4 is on. I use this on Android and have not experienced any disconnects other then getting out of range of the phone and then the wifi picks it up. This is one of best smartwatches out there. I recommend spending the extra 50 bux to get the band you want NOW. There are third party bands that can accommodate the 18-22mm taper, but the quality is fantastic on the mesh.

For some reason the watch would frequently disconnect its self from my wifi at home, i didnt understand why but it did. I purchased the watch to pair with my samsung Galaxy Note 5 because i tried out the Gear S2 and even though i loved just about everything about it, the watch face felt too small and even the large wrist band wasnt big enough for my wrist. Anyways the Huawei watch is a very nice watch and i love how well and crystal clear the display looks, the main reason why i bought the watch was because it looks almost identical to my Citizen's Night Hawk watch which to me was awesome! Pairing was fairly easy but thats where it pretty much ends. I was unable to properly sync my phone with the watch. Here is what i was NOT able to sync: 1. Phone calendar under watch "Agenda" app 2. Facebook Notifications 3. Yahoo email 4.youtube (paid) sub app called "video Tube" 5. Web Browser (paid) app third party package 6. Pictures (paid) app third party Package could not sync at all or add any. 7. Music from phone. Could only access and control Goggle Music through watch. 8. Weather alerts and climate information, i was never able to get access to this through the watch. 9. Answer calls through the watch, i could make calls but not answer them because when my phone would ring, the info from the call would not appear on the watch. I was however able to see text messages through the watch but not reply to them. Apps i was able to sync with and with out third party app packages: 1. Google calendar under wear calendar $1.99 cost to properly sync. 2. Web browser to access ebay app included in $9.99 android wear third party app package. Phone contacts. Took a bit but i got it to sync. 3. Lots of nice looking watch faces all of them worked well except the ones that would give you climate informtion. Due to lack of proper wifi connection. Hopefully huawei will consider adding a micro sim based smart watch to their line up in the future so that the watch can work independentely with out the need for wifi. Thats about it. Maybe i just got an improperly working watch as others who have my phone didnt seem to have the issues i am having but i wouldnt want to re purchase it again because i dont want to get another flop. However if huawai comes up with a micro sim independent version, maybe i will consider it again. Overall the watch is very elegant looking and i feel that if i had a true Android wear capable phone like the Google Nexus or Huawei smart phone, this watch would work flawlessly. Seeing that most of the apps i use on my note 5 seems to only be compatible with their Tizen OS, that could be the reason why my phone didnt properly sync with the Huawei watch. I guess im just going to have to wait and see if samsung comes out with a larger face watch that doent look like its made for a woman's wrist. Or if huawei steps up their game a bit more and make a new watch with sim card capability for bluetooth connectivity with more phones and make it more independent, would be great. Well this is my real review on the watch, i hope this helps you guys out who have the same phone i do. Just becareful with the apps you use on your phone because if you buy this watch it may not be compatible with your apps and you might have to buy 3rd party apps to get some of your apps to properly work with the watch. My only loss was $9.99 for the Android wear apps package. For what it does though, i feel like this watch should not be worth more then $299.99 but thats just me. Ps. Taking it backnto the store to get my money back.

I've been looking for a long time for a watch which would allow me different faces and to switch between analog and digital ones. I really didn't want most of the other features offered in a typical smart watch. Just multiple faces. However, it seems that the only way to get that one feature is to go the smart watch route, and so, here I am. I looked at many different watches before selecting this brand / model. I rejected the Moro 360 because of that dead sliver of screen at the bottom of the face. It was incomprehensible that someone thought that would be either a feature or at least OK with everyone, so that one went out in the first round. Likewise out in the first round were the Apple Watch (square, too pricey and too limited in device connectivity), the Pebble (dislike the general design and the size) and most of the LG line. Surviving to the second round were the LG Urbane and the Samsung Gear S2 Classic. Note the absence of the Huawei on the list of finalists. Between the time of my initial search and when I had resigned myself to a smart watch with features I didn't really want many other brands and models of smart watch had been released. As I reviewed my list of finalists one last time before committing to one of them I bevpca,e aware of this relatively new entry in the field. This watch very neatly eliminated each objection I had to the others, namely shape, size, price, and both iOS and Android compatibility. By the time I finished wondering who the heck Huawei was, I had been sold on every aspect of this watch. Overall my experience with the watch has been very positive. I actually do use some of the "smart" features like calendar notices, timers, and step counting. My main feature is still the flexibility of watch faces and that's where I think there's a very good basic set of selections available to choose from. That will bring me to my main negative for the watch. That list of faces does not include Facer when using a paired iOS device. Facer allows the creation of additional watch faces or to install faces created by others. As an iOS user this option is not available to me. I know you all want me to stop whining and go get a real Android phone. Quite simply put, I don't even want to have to use this with a phone. I understand that there are things that I can't do without a phone. But choosing different watch faces shouldn't be one of them. I should still have an option to download faces directly onto the watch. Most especially I want Star Trek faces. But alas, I cannot get them without major strangeness done to my iPad. In general this is a very nice watch. I just wish I could use the Star Trek watch faces available for it.

Thank you for the in-depth review on your Black Stainless Steel Huawei Watch! Powered by Android WearTM, featuring iOS and Android compatibility, built-in Wi-Fi, and Google Now voice commands, the Huawei Watch is intuitive. See who’s calling, read texts, and receive emails as soon as they arrive without reaching for your phone. We understand your concerns regarding the stock faces. If you're looking to download new watch faces, we recommend shopping third-party sites like Facerepo (https://facerepo.com/app/faces/watch/huawei-watch/1) to get a broad array of alternative options. I chose this watch because I wanted a smartwatch that looks more like a dress watch. This one fits that bill. It is a very good looking timepiece. The second reason I chose this watch was that I have an iPhone and I wanted a smartwatch that works with my iPhone that looks more professional than the Apple Watch. With Android Wear for iPhone, this watch gives me basic smartwatch functionality, although there are features available in Android Wear that Google (Alphabet?) hasn't ported to the iPhone app yet. All push notifications work perfectly, and the "Ok Google" speaking feature partially works (you can ask it for weather and other basic information and it will display it on the screen). You can't actually "dismiss" notifications from the watch screen (they don't push back to the phone when you dismiss them on the watch). The watchfaces Huawei built in are very attractive, and you will be able to find one that goes with any outfit you wear. The iPhone Android Wear app only allows a few additional watch faces, and I hope Google adds more to the library that is available to iPhone users so we'll have even more options. Huawei has already issued a firmware update to add some additional features to the watch, and they were good additions, addressing some of the early complaints about the watch. This bodes well for future support by Huawei. I am pleased with my purchase, and if you are considering this watch, it is a good choice for Apple iPhone users who are looking for a dressier, more professional looking watch than the Apple Watch, and it would be an outstanding choice for Android Phone users.

After reading the reviews over and over I decided to pull the trigger and purchase this watch. My only draw back was simply that I had an iPhone and the reviews on how the watch did with iOS was marginal at best. After seeing it on sale I decided take the plunge. The Watch itself is amazing. Screen is beautiful, even with the metal band it's not too heavy or bulky. Plenty of great features on the watch and a great conversation piece. At 2-400 these watches are well in their price ranges. Only draw back is the software for iOS. Android wear for iOS is horrible. You have to keep the app open at all times for the watch to keep connected and on top of this you have limited functionality. You still get basic alerts, time, weather, etc...If it can land in your iPhones notification area, it can get to the watch as long as the Android App is running at all times. Not sure why this is seeing that my Microsoft Band and Fitbit apps do not have to be running and I still received alerts. Granted, Huawei doest not make Android Wear, I understand this, but procurement of their own app to work with IOS better would defiantly sell more of these to iOS users. Only other complain is the lack of a light sensor. You have to manually increase or lower the brightness on the watch with your surroundings. If not, at night you'll look like you have a flashlight hanging off your wrist. Would I recommend this to a friend, yes. To an Android user for sure. I would only recommend to an iOS user if they are on sale. Simply because you're not going to obtain the full amazingness of this watch so why pay for it. Hopefully Android Wear for iOS will grow up soon allow more functionality from Android style watches. The reviews in the app store is enough to scare anyone away from purchasing products like this sadly.

I've been looking at this watch for a while. Thanks to the Black Friday sale, I went ahead and got it. I have to say that I was impressed before I even got to the watch. The packaging is excellent and from what I've seen a better experience than the Tag Heuer Connected. The build and materials of the watch itself are top notch. The only complaint I have is that they could done a little something with the crown. The screen itself doesnt have the flat tire situation that the other watches have because of the lack of a light sensor. To be honest, i don't miss it. It looks much better without it. The watch can last a day and a half under heavy use and two with normal use. Speaking of charge, one of the few complaints I have is that I can't get a good connection to the charger. It takes me two attempts and making sure that it is connected. I've taken it out on a few workouts just to play with the heart monitor and fitness apps. It all works great but is a bit overkill for a watch meant to be worn for more casual settings. Overall, I love the watch. It's easily the best Android Wear outside of the Tag.

I've used a Motorola 360, LG Urbane and even a Pebble Steel. This is by far my favorite smart watch to date. The screen is spectacular and the wifi feature makes it easy for me to leave my phone on the charger in the office and roam without missing notifications. The battery life has been excellent I can make it through most days with moderate to heavy usage and get home after being out for 12-14 hours and still have 40-50% left on the battery (with ambient turned on). The most recent Android Wear update also enabled the built-in speaker making calling via the watch possible, though you do look a little odd having a conversation with your watch. My one and only complaint about this product is the garbage charger. It seems I constantly have to put the watch on the charger several times before finding the sweet spot and getting it to charge. This can be pretty annoying when I wake up to find the watch didn't charge, usually I can get it nearly to full by the time I leave the house anyway since the charging cycle is really quick. It wouldn't dissuade me from buying it but if it happens with all of them people should know about it.

After reading countless reviews and watching numerous videos reviews and unboxings, I finally decided to pull the trigger and buy this watch. If you watch an unboxing video you'll get an idea of the care taken by Huawei to show that this is a premium product. I was able to sync the watch easily with my Samsung S7 Edge. There are videos showing how to remove links to adjust the size of the band. Also the 18mm band is easy to remove and replace with bands from Huawei and various other manufacturers. One weird thing I noticed was that during the first few days of ownership, the watch downloaded and install several updates. Sometimes the changes were obvious (image changes and more options), sometimes not so much. Not a big deal, just thought it odd as most devices don't update that frequently. The way I see it, updates are usually improvements based on bugs or user input Other than that, this watch is a great buy that i highly recommend, especially with Best Buy willing to price match with known vendors. I noticed that the prices tends to fluctuate daily, so keep an eye out for the right price.

Thank you, inferno451, we're glad you were able to sync the watch and that the set up was convenient. Please keep in mind that removing links from the band and replacing bands of another brand may void the warranty. The update that you noticed was the Android Wear update that enabled the speaker inside the watch making it capable of making and receiving phone calls. Thank you for shopping with Huawei.
