Happy Happy
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. We had to replace a faithful 11 year old Miele and found this Insignia model to be perfect. Its design and cycles are nearly identical. Controls at the top of the door, except the display is clearer to see and easier to wipe clean. A third shelf for cutlery except it is more adjustable. Whisper quiet operation just like the Miele. Stainless steel inside and out, except the Insignia's exterior is a thinner gauge and thus more susceptible to denting. Dry dishes achievable with extra heat setting. Sanitizer cycle achievable with extra setting. Removable bottom rack cutlery basket for large loads too big for the top rack. Geek Squad installation was flawless and well worth the extra money. Total installed cost was one third of the Miele dishwasher 11 years ago. Let's see how pong the Insigna lasts us.

Sleek dishwasher
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Bought this for a friend whose condo I stay in when working from out of state. Hers never worked right since the day she purchased this place and I decided she needed a new one finally! After doing much research this was the one. It’s sleek, quiet and does a great job cleaning all dishes.

Out of spec water intake valve
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. The machine is great, But the installation is a disaster! I tried THREE 90 degree water inlet elbows from three different palces, 1st one is from a dishwasher install kit sold buy bestbuy, 2nd one is from local homedepot, 3rd one is from Amazon, NONE of them can get into the valve for more than 3.5 turns even without teflon tape! I am waiting for 4th one from eBay, but am not expecting much difference. Its not my first time to install a dishwasher, never had this problem before. Most likely will have to return it, and i don't dare to buy the same model as a new one may have same problem.

Q: QuestionEvery time I load up the dishwasher it starts to run without me starting it. Why. What do I do if I’m not ready to run it yet and don’t have a full load and want to run it later.?
Asked by Beth.
- A:Answer Right steps for starting the dishwasher: Select the cycle and option; Press the “Start/Cancel”; Close the door within four seconds of pressing “Start/Cancel”. And the dishwasher will begin running. If you are not ready to run it yet, just please close the door without pressing ‘’Start/Cancel”, the dishwasher will not run. If you want load more dishes while it’s already running, and you close the door without pressing “Start/Cancel”, the dishwasher will beep for reminding user. Therefore if you are not ready to run it yet, please first restart the “Power” to clean up the running, and then close the door without pressing ‘’Start/Cancel”, the dishwasher will not run. Please make sure the control panel is without dirty and is not near with something in order to touch the “Start/Cancel” by mistake. If above conditions are all OK ,Please schedule a Service Visit. It is most likely the door switch or the Control Board is not working normally.

Q: QuestionIt seems the dishes are wet even a couple hours after it has finished. Is there a higher setting for the heat dry cycle
Asked by Mac.
- A:Answer To dry dishes, the dishwasher uses a very hot final rinse and then shuts off. As the sides cool, it pulls the moisture off the dishes, to the sides of the dishwasher, and into the drain. If your dishwasher is not fully drying your dishes: • Make sure that you are using rinse aid. • Make sure that the Heat Dry option is turned on. Hi Temp Wash and Sanitize Rinse also help make dishes dryer. • Make sure that your dishes are loaded properly. Position your dishes so they do not shift or collect water during the cycle. • Make sure that your dishwasher’s water temperature reaches at least 120° F (49° C). Turn on the hot water faucet near the dishwasher, and let it run for several minutes. Hold a thermometer (a candy or meat thermometer will work) in the water stream to check the temperature. • The hardness of your water determines the amount of dishwashing detergent and rinse aid you need. The harder the water, the more detergent required. If glasses show streaks, turn up the dial on the rinse aid dispenser until the streaks disappear. • A load with a lot of plastic items in the middle rack will negatively impact drying results. If possible, alternate plastic items with non-plastic items, like glasses. It is common for plastic items to require towel drying. • If puddles are left on the tops of items, make sure that items with cupped tops have enough tilt to shed as much water as possible. • Consider flash drying as an option. During the drying cycle, open the door two to three inches for two minutes to allow the steam to exit, then restart the cycle. • If selecting Heavy Wash with Hi Temp Wash, Sanitize Rinse and Heat Dry with rinse aid does not produce satisfactory results, please call 1-877-467-4289 available from 8am to 9pm CT daily.

Q: QuestionIs there anyway to turn off the end of cycle beeps? 8 beeps seems a little excessive and we normally run the dishwasher at night.

Q: QuestionThe height of this unit is listed as 33.8", but the required cutout height is listed as 35.0". Is this accurate? It seems to be a substantial difference between product and cutout heights when compared to other Insignia DW's (NS-DWR2SS8, for example.)
Asked by DamonnomaD.
- A:Answer I'm answering my own question: according to the installation guide: "The rough cabinet opening must be at least 24 in. (61 cm) deep and 34 in. (86.4 cm) high. • For the front door of the dishwasher to be flush with the front edge of the countertop, the countertop must be 25 in. (63.5 cm) deep."

Q: QuestionDoes anyone else have difficulty loading it because of the design? The pegs seen to be way to close together to get anything in upright.
Asked by Liv.
- A:Answer Yes I had that experience on my first time using it. But I checked the manual and it has some good guides on how to load the dishes, and that was very helpful.

Q: QuestionIs the exterior finish fingerprint resistant stainless steel?
Asked by rkooch.
- A:Answer Mine doesn’t show finger prints, but my grandson is only four months old. When he starts toddling, it may show some fingerprints, but it so easy to clean that I don’t expect any problems. Wonderful machine.
