A great find for the Price
Posted .Pros mentioned:Price, Sound quality, Use for phone callsCons mentioned:Noise cancellationI keep trying to find the perfect travel headphones and or earbuds, I've kind of drawn may max line at $400, and not found anything "worthy" under $100 until now. I first tried the Jlab Flex Sport headphones about 9mo ago; and quite frankly they suprised me with what they brought for the money. So when I discovered they JLab had a new ear bud for about $70 I thought I should give them a try. My current earbud favorite is the Jaybird Run, which I've had for nearly 2 years (and travel with all the time). First some obvious differences the "Run's" case can be charged for 12h and the buds for 6h; these Jlab Jbud AirExecutives case can be charged for 20h and the buds for 6h. Both of their cases contain batteries to charge them on the go, but the JLabs Jbuds recharge much faster (80% in about 15m, half the time the Jaybirds take. The JLab Jbud AirExectives come with 4 in ear tips, small, medium and large, and a memory foam which is about the same size as the medium tip. I did the goldilocks test, and found the medium was best for me; and I then compared the silicon medium tip to the foam tip I was immediately impressed how much more outside sound the foam tip kept out and how much deeper the bass was. The JLab Jbud Air Executives have 2 microphones on them one to listen to external sounds the other to listen for your voice (cell phone calls). The latter is on a tip that extends down the bottom of the earbuds. This extension does allow for your voice to be picked up from both earbuds in what they call C2 calling, it works quite well, as I took several calls and those that I talked to said I could be heard quite clearly, possibly better than I could hear them (I had to turn the volume way up on incoming calls, but thats just a few taps on the right earbud). Speaking of taps, you change the volume up by taping on the right earbud once, and down by tapping on the left earbud once. tapping the left earbud twice bring up siri (something I did several times accidentally). And tapping the left three times cycles through 3 eq settings (I found their custom signature mode the best for general listening). Triple tapping the right earbud turns on and off there "be aware" mode which sends external sounds through the earbuds. A couple things about this "be aware" feature, it's a great idea. But the Jlab Jbuds should tell you with a voice prompt what mode is enabled (like it does for EQ mode), and it should also tell you this when you turn them on initially. I really liked this functionality in their FlexSport, and I'd say it worked better in the flex sport than it does with the Air Executives. When enabling "be aware" you can hear external noises and voices through the earbuds; and yes I could but the volume level of the external sounds was not nearly as pronounced as I found them to be with the flex sports. Like I say this is a great feature, to me it was not implemented as well in the the Air Executives. Still It's nice that it is there. Now how did they sound with Music. Comparing the $70 JLab Jbuds AirExecutives to the $170 Jaybird Runs is not exactly fair, but that what I did. I listened to some AC/DC, Boston and Pink Floydo on both. And both handled highs extremely well with a very nice resolution, I couldn't decide which I prefered. But with the foam tips I prefered the bass of the JLab Jbud AirExecutive, but the mids of the Jaybird Run's seemed to float, and have more punch then that of the Jlab Jbud. The JayBirds seemed to have a better, wider, mor open sound stage. But I could move much further away from my iPhone with the JLab Jbud and keep a solid stereo signal, than I could with the JayBird (possibly due to newer BT 5.0 technology). Also pairing of the JLab Jbuds AirExecutives was much easier/more consistent than with the Jaybirds (something I greatly appreciated). So the Jlab Jbud's were more reliable to use with my iPhone. So for the money they are a great find; their sound is very good and they are reliable, and easy to travel with, the stated 20h play time is also great for the price. The "cloud" foam tips work really well. I'm sure I'll trave with these then next time I get on a plane. A couple of things they (all earbud manufacturers) should consider, include the operating instruction on the inside or back of the case. Yes, after a while you figure it out, but if you use many different headphones/earbuds this would really help.

THESE ARE IT. USE THE CLOUD FOAM TIPS. They’re spongy and expand to fit your unique ear canal and WONT FALL OUT. All JLabs come with multiple caps for you convenience!! The blue cloud foam tips have never fallen out of my ear like the black silicone ones have. It takes 40 hours of play time (for any in-ear headphones) to be BROKEN IN. I highly recommend these. Easy to use. Quick Bluetooth connection. I read some reviews that said these don’t get very loud...I DISAGREE. They get loud. Sound quality is excellent. BUY THESE! <3

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Battery life, Price, Sound qualityI bought these primarily because I did not want to pay a lot for Apple AirPods and was not making the mistake of buying cheap wireless earbuds again. I’ve been using these for almost a year now and they are great! The sound is good, they charge fast, the case and the earbuds look very nice and have a modern look to them, and the price is definitely worth it. I have never had an issue connecting them but I have been clumsy with them and have dropped them a lot so sometimes the left ear takes a while to connect. If you drop them a few times they will be fine and there’s no issues since they were built very well. I love the controls on the earbuds because they make it easy to answer calls and control my music without having to use my phone which is useful when I’m running. Speaking of which they do stay in place always which I was worried about when I was considering buying. No complaints here.

Good sound, even better price.
Posted .Pros mentioned:Battery life, Price, Sound qualityThe JLAB JBUDS Air Executive True Wireless Earbuds are rated for 30 hours of use, that is a 6 hour life on the ear buds and a 24 hour charge in the case. For me 6 hours of life is plenty for ear buds and with the case being able to charge an additional 4 times is a bonus. The design of these things remind me of Apples air pods, but shorter, and they fit comfortably in my ears. You are given 3 sets of gel tips, 1 cloud foam ear tips (think of memory foam material) and 1 set of crush fins. The charging case has the cable (USB type A) integrated into it and it folds nicely and doesn’t just hang loose, a nice feature so you don’t have to carry a micro USB cable. The IP55 rating provides dust protection so that it blocks enough dust to prevent harm to the device and water protection from water jets from any angle. Working out with these guys will not harm them, even if you sweat a bunch. My favorite feature of these is the carrying case. It has a leather feel to it and it is pretty compact and appears to be pretty sturdy and provides great protection for the ear buds inside. The charging lights give a clear indication of what it is doing. The three lights display white as the case is charging and blue for when it is charging the ear buds. The sound of the ear buds is a 6 out of 10 for me. I had to swap in the smallest ear gels for them to fit perfectly and the memory foam cloud ear tips did not seem to work well for me. Now the bad stuff….I found that the touch features on the ear buds to not work very well. Everything is either a tap, double tap, triple tap or press and hold type of action. Each ear bud has different features for the taps as well. For example, a single tap on the left is volume down and a single tap on the right is volume up. Double tap on the left launches Siri or Google assistant and the right double tap is play/pause. Triple tap on the right turns on the “aware mode” which allows ambient sound via the microphones (works decent). All the different taps and such will take a bit of getting used to so be ready to refer back to the instructions many times. My biggest gripe with it was hitting the right spot on the ear bud. It’s a small target and you can easily miss the sensors and it just makes it difficult. Over time I think it will be a non-issue, but at the begging its going to be a challenge for me. For the price of these things, they are still a great deal and I will recommend them to my friends who are looking for a good set of ear buds for not a lot of money. In the box they also include 3 months of Pandora Premium which was a nice surprise.

Stylish, Comfortable and good sound
Posted .Pros mentioned:Battery life, Price, Sound qualityI’ve had the pleasure of testing these earbuds for the past 72 hours. Two gym sessions and an 8 hour work shift later, I feel comfortable saying that these headphones are a good deal for the asking price. They are comfortable with the “cloud foam” buds installed and I think those cool comfy blue buds are the most comfortable out of the bunch included in the box, they also isolate the best and sound the best. I found the standard tips and biggest tips less comfortable and didn’t isolate my ears enough to sound very pleasing. I was initially disappointed with the sound quality, but I think they sound way better with the blue foam buds in your ears. That being said, JLab has 3 presets for sound. jlab sognature, balanced and bass boost. You can access them by triple tapping on the left ear bud. I think the JLab signature preset is the better sounding eq of the three. Volume, pause and track skipping can be used by tapping on the earbuds. The left and right ear bud each have their own settings. Refer to the manual for specifics. As far as sound quality, they aren’t the best.. but you’d be hard pressed to find something better for the same price. Audio is well balanced and I can’t complain. Battery life is excellent, I haven’t had to charge the carry case yet. The charge cable is built into it, which is pretty awesome. The earbuds themselves are quite sleek and stylish. I like that they are stealthy and sleek. If you’re looking for some truest wireless earbuds with a convenient charging case, check these out. They’re worth a try!

JLAB Drab
Posted .Pros mentioned:Battery life, Use for phone callsExcuse the pun but I am a little underwhelmed with the technology here JLAB. In a world filled with Bluetooth earbuds everything is important and the Bluetooth in these carries the same issues that my other JLAB’s did. It is frustrating when the earbuds aren’t in sync and play the music seconds apart. I can’t walk away from my phone without the earbuds losing connectivity, the inability to make outgoing calls because the Bluetooth can’t figure out how to get me the audio from my phone. Earbuds are not snowflakes so I am pretty confident these aren’t a defective pair. My other JLABs has mirroring issues. Now, when they do work properly 80% of the time they have great noise, I like the triple tap funcstion to change listening style from bass to a more audio book friendly profile, the design is nice as you can see, and the foam cushion tips are mini-pillows for my ears! They fit great, do well at the gym and the carrying case is beautiful. The carrying case alone is a beauty with its vegan leather, built in charging wire so you don’t have to worry about losing it and the case has lights that tells you the battery status. Definitely worth giving them a chance but I do hope JLAB rethinks the possibility of engaging a updated Bluetooth system because I get so frustrated when they abruptly mess up a work call and I can’t use them.

Q: QuestionCan I use only one of them (Left or Right) to listen to music or make calls?
Asked by Ankur.
- A:Answer Yes, you can use just one for either calls or music. Keep in mind though that the right one is the only one that can connect to your device and so the left one won't work if the right one is put away in the case. So ideally you would use the right one in if you are only using one, but the only issue I ran into was that the controls to activate your phone's voice assistant is on the left earbud. So if you want to make a call while using only one earbud you'll need to: have both earbuds out of the case to activate your voice assistant even though you only have one earbud in your ear, use your phone to activate your voice assistant, or turn on the setting on your phone that makes it so that your voice assistant is always listening for you voice prompt so that you can activate it using only your voice (which tends to be glitchy when using external devices).
