Customers are saying
Customers enjoy certain aspects of the game, but find the gameplay repetitive and short. Some comments suggest the game's visuals and overall experience could be improved. The short length is a recurring concern, leading some to recommend trying the free demo first. A few players felt the gameplay mechanics became predictable.

I downloaded the demo first and liked it so i bought it. Stranglehold is Max Payne meets Jet Li. The environments are totally destructible and can be blown to pieces. There is an awesome sniper mode where the camera follows the bullet in slow motion and the guy will react differently depending on where you nail him.. Only thing is its a pretty short game, and games of this nature have little or no replay value (ie max payne).. I finished it in around 3-4 days.. Oh, and nobody plays it online, so I dont know what thats like.. Fun i'd imagine...

I downloaded a demo of the game and played it. The graphics a very well done and the fact that you can interact with the environement is great but the game play becomes dependant on you doing so. The game has a huge amount of action and some cool concepts but the action was very repetative. I got board of the demo so I would assume that the game would be no different. I gave this game based on the rating system, I did not think it was bad but I would not recomend it and it is not great.

This game was a great value and provided many hours of enjoyable play time. Not too hard and not too easy. I played it on the easiest setting but should have tried the normal setting first. The last few levels are CRAZY!!!

I saw a walkthrough of this game on Gamespot HD and loved the graphics and sound. You can destroy the surrounding environment which makes the gameplay more exciting. Pleanty of action on the Tequila Time slow motion mode is fun as well. Great shooter for a good price.

The Asian Max Payne

The review title says it all. If you've played Max Payne before then you'll know EXACTLY what to expect from this game. It's very repetitive and lame at times (i.e. shoot the sign above a group of enemies to drop and clear them out). I honestly liked Max Payne better than this game. Probably because it was the first to prefect the "bullet-time" aspect to the 3rd-person shooter genre. Save your money and download the free demo from the PS store.

Yes Stranglehold seemed like a great game but to many tweeks that turned the attraction away. I give most of my rating due to graphics alone. The slow motion "Tequila time" seemed to turn in and out even with your back turned to enemies. The enviroments was probably the most impressive of all the gameplay (I would also add the action but even than I find myself getting bored shooting over and over with a poor story pretty boring).

I recently saw a demo of this game iin action. The graphics are fantastic! I have not seen a game that will allow the player to go to "slow motion" mode. You can target a person, and see the bullet head towards the target in slow motion and watch the blood splatter once hit. The famous "spin" move that Chow Yung Fat performs in the movie is available in the game as well. I have yet to see a game that can do all of this.
