    Perfect replacement

Easy to use buttons and button to open & close is smooth & quiet. My Kitchenaid trim was 1/16” too small, so had to custom order trim from “Micro Trim LLC”. They did a great job and shipped a week later for $259. Although I like the new Kitchenaide as much as the 10 yr old one, I wish they would take sizes and trim into account when designing new equipment.

To lock or not to lock.

The child-proof safety feature is a good idea until it fails to work. I tried disabling the safety option. It did not work as expected. Instead of being able to open the oven door by pressing the the button, it no longer works. The oven door is now "permanently" locked. That's why I'm returning it. Of course, YMMV. It might work for you.
