A: Hello NonnaLaura, for this model the knobs are stainless steel. We hope this helps.

Q: We have a Kitchenaid 30" Built-in gas cooktop, black. My wife had something cooking on the burner when the electronic igniter started clicking and would not stop. I pull the plug for a bit thinking it may stop. It has not. How do we fix it?

A: Hi hawkeyeblue, sometimes when the igniters get debris on them, or when they are wet, they will click. Burner(s) may click if damp from being cleaned or if a spillover has occurred. Allow the product to dry thoroughly. You can speed up the drying process by blowing cool air on the burner and control knob shaft area using a hairdryer If you continue to have issues after these steps, please reach out to us for further assistance via Facebook https://www.facebook.com/KitchenAid or Twitter @KitchenAidCare or by calling (800) 422-1230 Mon–Tue: 8 a.m.–8 p.m. EST, Wed–Fri: 9 a.m.–7 p.m. EST We hope this helps! .

Q: What is the distance between the front and rear burners measuring center to center of burners? Can you place two medium or large pans on the burners at the same time and have the flames centered on each pan?

A: Hi Sleepyone, there isn't any specific data for the individual burner measurements on this unit, but here is the link to the product images and the overall dimensions of the cooktop. https://bit.ly/3oBBxSs Also all of the grates are full width on this model so you should be able easily center the flame on the full size pans at the same time. Here is the installation guide which has the location requirements and the dimensions as well. https://bit.ly/3vbjcyi Hope this helps!

Q: Does this sto e top have manual lite , instead of electronic spark

A: Hello R0bie. This KitchenAid® Cooktop has an electric ignition system but can be manually lit in the event of a power failure. We hope this helps!
