Description
Burgess Meredith narrated the unusual series Korg: 70,000 BC, which was originally broadcast on American television in the mid-1970s. Designed to provide an intelligent alternative to much of what passed for children's Saturday morning programming at the time, it followed the adventures of "Clan Korg," a family of Neanderthals who led viewers on a series of anthropological journeys over the landscapes of pre-history. Series producers enlisted consultants from New York's American Museum of Natural History and Los Angeles County's Natural History Museum to keep episodes historically and scientifically literate. Throughout the saga, patriarch Korg teams up with his brother Bok; his wife Mara; and Korg and Mara's children - Tana, Ree and Tara - to battle cave bears, hostile tribes and other ills, while learning about the origins of art, diplomacy, trade, and much more. This box set contains the complete series.
