A powerful tablet in a small package
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The specs are not correct. It shows that it is running Windows RT, this product actually is running a full blown version of Windows 8.0 which I recently updated to Windows 8.1 for free. Another spec that seems to be overlooked, is that this particular model ships with Microsoft Office Student/Home 2013 (which retails at $139.99 from Best Buy) We purchased this unit as a package deal with a Lenovo Ultra Book which cost $699.99 via the Deal of the Day. We are very happy with this unit, it is very fast. The processor is an Intel Bay Trail Atom Z3740, part of Intel’s Quad core family, clocked at 1.33Ghz, and sports 2 Gig’s of ram and a 32Gig hard drive. It charges via a micro Usb cable and allows for external micro SD card. The windows 8.1 interface is very responsive, and seems more logical within the touch configuration. The cameras work well, the battery is sufficient, and the display is gorgeous. A side note, we decided to install the Microsoft Office on the laptop instead of this tablet. We figured it would get used more on that particular device and it worked fine without a problem. Keep in mind that Office does not come pre-installed, the activation key comes in the package, if purchasing this unit, use caution not to discard it or mistake it for a Windows 8 activation code. Pros: It’s form factor (8.5” x 5.25”) is perfect for typing with my thumbs. Snappy for being a full version of windows 8.1 It comes with Microsoft Office Student/Home Cons: Lack of a flash on Rear facing camera Only left with 5 Gig of hard drive space (apps cannot be installed on the micro SD card) After Market cases don’t quite fit (at least the ones that stores have locally, I will probably turn to Amazon)

Good effort Lenovo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a nice little tablet. Very quick and responsive. 32gb is just too small for full version of windows. Had to make a recovery USB drive to free up 6gb right away. Its my fault for buying the smaller memory one so I don't hold that against Lenovo, as I'm sure they were just trying to meet a price point. Going from android to windows took some adjustment but I can say I don't miss the android tablet but do miss the app store. Windows 8 works quiet well and has some nice features but definitely missing apps. That said I didn't buy this to play games. The tablet works very well for email, web, Netflix and just as snappy opening up docs, spread sheets and PDF.

Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For $200 is a great tablet compared to the Microsoft surface 2 you can get a key board with it other than a bluetooth one but it has the windows 8.1 and it's not RT it's the full version. I can use Microsoft office on it. I would say pick this up if your not worried about a keybaord being attached. Also it is very fast and quick.

Great value for a Win8.1 tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Win8.1 tablet for the price that best buy offered (<$200). It comes with a full version of MS Office Home 2013, which retails for $139. So you do the math. The tablet is pretty responsive. The screen at 1280x800 is good enough and bright. One USB 2.0 port. All these works: USB mouse/kb, bluetooth mouse/kb, displaylink monitor via usb, miracast to hdmi TV, usb thumbdrives, usb DVD/bluray. Sound/speaker is adequate. I've used a fiber tip stylus and it works great. It has a microsd slot, and I have a 32GB which works fine. Physically, the tablet is so thin and light. My complaints will be the base 32GB which left me about 8GB free. Phone jack is a little bit wonky. Not enough apps in windows store. No decent google calendar app, Miracast and displaylink need a little bit of work to find drivers that work. I'm able to run most if not all my Windows apps. So for that, and the fact that it is portable and extensible with bluetooth or usb, will make this appealing to people who thinks a laptop is too much to carry.

Good for browsing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tablet has almost no free space after setting it up, so it makes it difficult to install apps or other programs; or even store your personal files. A way around this is to install a 32GB or 64GB microSD card with it to store downloads, personal files, and other data. It is mostly great for browsing on the web or playing with a few apps. Being 8 inches makes it simple to carry around and view documents or browse with it on the go. Also, lenovo miix tablet is fun to have around and interesting to use.

Good mini tablet with windows 8
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this up to be able to remote into work when on the go and its great for that purpose as well as watching movies and surfing the net. The only real issues I have with this unit is when waking from sleep it can take 5 minutes to come fully back up. Battery life isn't that great as I get about 5 hours with normal use from a full charge and it says it comes with facial recognition but the unit I have doesn't have it installed nor is it available from the Lenovo app store that I could find. Overall its a nice mini windows 8 tablet but if your looking for a small tablet with long battery life look elsewhere or wait til theres a firmware up that will help with battery life and waking up from sleep mode.

Great price for a tablet, Atom is SLOW
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Here's the deal: if you can catch this on sale for $199, it's a great deal (since MS Office alone will set you back a hundred bucks). The screen is sharp, battery life is good, and I happen to like Windows 8.1, so no issues there. BUT- and this was the dealbreaker for me- the processor is fine for a "tablet", but NOT for an "office replacement" which this purports to be. And the lack of a dedicated charging port means the ONE USB port is gone. (Allegedly you can buy a few adapters and charge while using a hub, but that's not a streamlined solution.) No HDMI means a USB video adapter OR Miracast, which is half-baked at best. SO get used to squinting. And (and this is a Windows 8 gripe, not Lenovo's fault), Microsoft needs to create their own version of IOS' "magnifier ring" when editing text. Trying to grab the little dot and move the cursor in the browser on this thing is pure frustration. Again, as a tablet that happens to run Windows, it's great. But as a windows PC in Tablet form, it's too limited.

First Leno o and I'm impressed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first Lenovo and I'm impressed. I bought it because it was the only Windows 8 tablet I could find in a size smaller than the Surface. This Lenovo has a beautiful vibrant screen and operates smoothly and quickly. I would definitely consider Lenovo in the future. My only complaint was the lack of covers available. The one I bought is beautiful and protects the screen; however, I would prefer a slim cover that protects the screen but doesn't add bulk and weight. This cover is heavy and bulky but is attractive and has a stylus loop if you like to use a stylus... At least the stylus is handy and won't get lost.

Q: QuestionCan I install Office 365 on this tablet?
Asked by gez.
- A:Answer I believe so, it is Windows 8.1, not the stripped down RT. This one does come with the student & home office suite 2013 included, not a trial but the actual suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & OneNote.

Q: QuestionCan you use a verizon usb air-stick for internet access
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer If it is a USB air stick, you can possibly buy a male MicroUSB to female USB adapter and get it to plug-n-play. I have an adapter and use my phone as a modem through PDAnet on a verizon phone.
