    • High-Efficiency: true (Washers with this label feature technology meant to use less water. High Efficiency (HE) washers may also be larger in capacity. Using High Efficiency (HE) detergent in these washers is highly recommended as they are designed to be quick-dispersing and operate in low water conditions by producing less suds, requiring less detergent. Not using the recommended detergent can lead to additional rinse cycles and increased water usage.)
    • Steam Function: true (In washers, this feature may be employed before, during, or after the main wash cycle. Steam aids in stain removal, activating detergent, sanitizing, and softening wrinkles. In dryers, this feature can be used to remove wrinkles or quickly freshen clothing items.)
    • Washing Mechanism: Impeller (There are two washing mechanisms to choose from in today's washing machines: agitators or impellers. An agitator is a column located in the center of the washing tub. It may be finned or vaned, and works to clean clothes by rotating and rubbing against clothes to break down stains. An impeller is a low-profile cone at the bottom of the tub that uses fins, cones, or discs to create motion. This motion pushes clothes to rub against each other, versus against an agitator, to break down dirt.)

Q: The chimes on my washer just suddenly stopped working. No info in the manual on this. How do I turn back on. Thank you.

A: Turn on power, turn dial to NORMAL, press SIGNAL button in bottom-right of panel. Light above SIGNAL will come on and you'll hear a "ding".

Q: Has anyone with a new machine experienced a squeaking/rubbing noise during the wash cycle and when its agitating? I replaced my 1st machine, now the 2nd one is doing the same thing (Geek Squad repair didn't fix it). Debating whether to try a 3rd one!

A: I just got my delivered today and I'm sitting here watching it cycle through the first wash and it's making a squeegee sound while agitation, like when you squeegee you water off your windshield...

Q: Is there an easy way to just spin out hand washed items without going through a lengthy rinse/spin cycle? I see a button for spin only, but haven't figured out how to use it.

A: To perform a spin only cycle: Press the power button to turn the washer on. Press and hold the spin button for 3 seconds. Press the spin button to select the desired spin speed. Selecting no spin is not allowed. Press the start/stop button. ^CP

Q: How many lbs. max of dry laundry can I put in to wash at one time?

A: The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 5.0 cu.ft. Mega Capacity Top Load Washer, Model # WT7200CW can also hold 20-22 pounds of laundry. The difference of 0.2 cubic feet between this model and the WT7500CW does not make a difference in terms of load capacity limits, but again, please keep in mind that while it is economical in both utility costs and time management to do full loads, you should never cram clothes and overstuff a washer just because you can. You also need to consider that the type of load will also make a big difference. 20 pounds of shirts is a lot different to 20 pounds of towels when they get wet...^IFV

Q: How long does it take for a normal normal wash cycle?

A: For normal without fabric softener button or extra rinse its about 38 min. With fabric soft button its about 49 min. When fab soft button is not activated it does the the fast spray rinse instead of a tub fill rinse.

Q: Manual says when the extra water is chosen that will be the default for that cycle but mine not working that way. I have to watch cycle until it gets to wash and pause cycle, choose extra water, and restart again. Is my machine defective?

A: I don't know much about the extra water default feature but will share my experience with you: For the first loads I did on my new machine (bed sheets), I expected the water level in the wash cycle to come up to the top of the wet laundry (as described in the information booklet). It didn't. When I called the 800 number, the woman there told me to press the "more water" button and also to press the "add fabric softener" button - even though I was not adding softener. That worked pretty well on other normal loads until I decided to wash a single king size blanket. Using the bedding cycle and not pressing either of the additional buttons, the water did not stop at the top of the wet blanket - but filling continued to the very top of the drum - higher than on any load before. The third time this happened, I called the LG 800 number again to find out how to lower the water level and prevent water waste, and did the "diagnostic" test with the cell phone facing the control panel. Was told it all looked OK and was asked what kind of water hoses hooked the machine to the faucets. My answer: metal clad as recommended by the store and installers. After a pause on hold, she came back to say that only rubber hoses should have been used as the metal on the hoses interfered with the water sensor on the washing machine. When I reported this to the store (Best Buy in Park City, UT), the assistant manager told me they always sold the metal-clad hoses with their machines and had never heard of this before. He said he would check with the LG Rep, and when he called me back, he suggested they replace the machine and install the new one with rubber hoses to be on the safe side. They did and all seems fine so far. Good luck

Q: do you need any special accessories to have the wifi options?

A: You just need to download the app onto your smart phone to use the wifi options.

Q: what year model is this washer? Is it high efficiency and energy star certified?

A: yes it is high efficient and energy star certified
