However, you can turn the craft ice maker off and then just dump the mini ice bin into the craft ice bin for extra storage.

Q: Will the water line ever freeze up? I have a ge Cafe that freezes and I know of other models with the same issue. Has LG done anything to prevent this from happening?

A: My old GE would freeze up too! I have this new LG with literally 4 ice makers in it, and it has not frozen up at all. It's working perfectly... also WAY QUIETER than the GE Cafe I had. Now my GE Cafe was 11 years old... but it should not have been freezing up. Made me crazy.
