Great Phone - hits (almost) all the marks for me
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis is probably the perfect phone for me, and I've gone through a few to get here. I've had the LG G6, V20, V30, V35, and finally arrived with the G7 Thinq. First, I love the LCD screen, it's simply gorgeous and I think looks more natural than OLED (in my opinion), despite the power-saving features of OLED. I actually like the notch feature as it keeps the top of the phone from being blocked up with all my notifications!!!! The camera is great and takes perfectly fine shots in auto or AI-cam mode, but in manual mode, this camera shines!!!! You just can't beat the Hi-fi audio from the DAC, and the phone still retains a headphone jack (big plus for me, no dongle). My only gripe (hence the 4-stars) is the small-ish battery (3000mAh). I can get through a full day of email, texting, redditing, and web-surfing but I don't have a lot in the tank (maybe 20-35% remaining depending on use), where my V30 and V35 still could finish the day at 50% remaining or more. Having wireless charging helps ease my anxiety about running out of juice and rapid (wired) charging is also nice! Ultimately, my decision to go with the G7 vs the V35 was based mainly on the form factor, I can easily operate the phone one-handed and it is IMO more pocketable than the V-series, despite being longer overall. I'm also happy to say that this is the first unlocked phone I've purchased that supports wi-fi calling with ATT out of the box. In the past, I've had to resort to all sorts of software trickery to make it work and didn't need to do that this time around. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase and happy that it comes with a 2nd year warranty from LG should I need it!!!!!!!

Wife loves it
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendMy wife was in desperate need of a new cell phone after doing a little research this phone was right up her alley. I got it for her as an early Christmas gift and she has not put it down since. I made the switch from iPhone back to android and honestly the only thing she misses is the face time but she found her way around that so she is truly happy with this phone she hasn't been off it since she got it literally she is glued to this phone. Now while its not a iPhone, over rated if you ask me, which she is used to the functions on this phone are easy to use and she took to it like she has always used an android LG which is saying a lot for someone who is not very tech savvy. I would definitely recommend for anyone.

Not bad
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendCame from an S9+. The ergonomics and weight of this phone are much better. The screen, even with the notch, is fantastic. RAM management seems to be an issue - some lag opening apps. And the camera is meh at best. The wide angle is cool but pics from the main shoooter come out so so, even in the best lighting conditions.

Great change for me

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I recently changed from Samsung to the LG because it was cheaper and had some great reviews. I also needed a new phone because my Samsung had charging issues. Being with Samsung for the last 3 upgrades I was a little skeptical. Between this and the Google Pixel 3a I chose to get the LG because it does the SD card up to 2TB which apparently isn’t available yet. And I also can separate the notification volume and not have it grouped in the ringtone volume which is a must for me. Everything works well. The only issue I had before is something happened and my phone would never connect back to my car one day. My nephew had to reset the network settings which forced me to have to re-sign in to every WiFi network and pair my watch again. So far that is the only issue with the phone and it hasn’t done it since.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5My Note 9 has the telephoto lens vibrating problem. Was very dissatisfied with Samsung. I had severa LG phones before and they never disappoint. Everyone talks about how good the Iphone and the Samsung phones are. The thing is that they never have them long enough to see how crappy those are. You want a phone for the long haul go with LG. Alot of people overlook at a LG phone. Will stay with this G7 for a while.

Incredible Price for Last Year's Flagship!
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Bought this to replace an old broken phone. Thought I would have to sacrifice on features because of the low price point. MAN, was I WRONG! This bad boy can do everything the current gen flagships can do, while maintaining great battery performance. On top of that--THAT QUAD DAC sounds AMAZING! Really powers my audiophile-grade headphones with ease! (HD600 daily drivers, as well as Hifiman Sundaras powered no problem and sound great!)

Outstanding device
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI never had LG on my list of potential phones, and I have used many different products. It is fast, great looking, and has features that do not exist with other devices, such as the boom box feature and the built in sound augmentation. The screen is outstanding, especially outdoors. I am very pleased with this purchase.
