This off beat crime drama/comedy is set in the 70's. The story follows some petty crooks on their get rich scheme. As the crime plot unfolds all is not as it seems with the criminals or the victims. The story is filled with twists and dry dark humor that some may find to down the middle but I enjoyed it as it was played. There is a subtlety in Jennifer Anniston's performance which suggest to me much more than the usual comedy queen antics. Tim Robbins is a delightful sleaze in his part as the "mark" and Bey and Hawkes are a good crime duo. The packaging and blu-ray disc were good quality with a clear picture and sound. It is in 185:1 aspect ratio.

I am a big fan of Elmore Leonard books turned to film, especially Get Shorty and Be Cool... great casts, great scripts... this one just lacked the comedic feel of the others. A good movie worth watching once, but lacks re-watch value. A few laughs, but all in all it seems everyone just missed their comedic timing, leading to an awkward movie.

For a movie most people didn't really hear about, it's entertaining and worth watching if it comes on TV or you're bored and see it on sale. There are a surprising number of A and B list actors who do a decent job and one surprise performance by John Hawkes (The Perfect Storm, Lincoln).

If you like Jennifer Aniston then you will enjoy this film. She gets kidnapped in an effort to extort money from her husband ... but he sees this a opportunity to run of with his sexy mistress (Isla Fisher).

Life of Crime is a character driven piece that keeps you wondering what's going to happen next. Fun to watch and all actors play their roles with a sense of belonging.

The movie starts off a little slow but gets a lot better in the end. Much more serious tone to the movie then it's made out to seem but still enjoyable. Worth a watch.

Fantastic movie! I really enjoyed it. I don't remember this movie coming to theaters or having a lot of marketing in place for it but I found it very enjoyable.
