A: Yes you need to attach a small block to your phone or phone case
Q: Is this compatible with Note 4 OtterBox Defender?
A: Worked on my lifeproof case for iPhone 7 don't see why not
Q: Is this compatible with the Galaxy S7 FRE case?
A: yes. it comes with an adhesive, magnetized square that is mounted to the back of the case. be sure to follow directions carefully when putting the square on the back of your case. you will be happy with it on rides.
