Q: Can this start a Dead battery?
A: YES - worked like a charm on a battery that had been totally dead for a couple months. Super quick and easy to use, much better than jumping from another vehicle. as of course the battery is accessible with this small unit, no matter where it happens to be parked. My husband wants one for his birthday after seeing someone else's in action. Me too! The flashlight is a bonus in case you have to jump a battery at night.

Q: Should vehicle key be in on position?
A: The vehicle key should not be in the on position until after the JumpSmart has been connected. When jump starting a vehicle, you will turn the JumpSmart on, connect the Jumper Cables to both the JumpSmart and the vehicles battery terminals, THEN start the vehicle.
