Q: will this case/keyboard work with the original ipad
A: Fits my iPad2.
Q: how do I start using my keyboard?
A: Go to the System Settings for the tablet and enable Bluetooth. Then scan for the keyboard after you switch it on. Once the tablet detect the keyboard you can select it for pairing to your tablet. Thereafter you just turn on the keyboard power switch when you want to use it. Turn it off if you only want to use your touch screen. Really easy. Good luck.
Q: does this fit an ipad 4th G model A1459
A: My question is very similar. The number on the solid face of my iPad 4th generation is A1458, though, rather than A1459 as the original inquiry states. I realise that is quite possible since most generations have two or three different sets of letter-four-digits combinations. As I've been scouring the web for a protective keyboard cover I've noted that most covers that claim to fit a 4th Gen also fit 2nd and 3rd generation iPads. Those three generations seem all to fit covers that will fit one of them. I wonder why there is no mention of the Gen 4 iPad here, but the retina screen is mentioned. Is this an oversight in Best Buy product page copy? By having multiple sets of model numbers per generation Apple has not simplified this matter, especially since at different times and places the same unit may be called by any of the various handles. That makes standardized dialogue more complicated than it needs to be. To summarise, will this Logitech protective keyboard fit iPad generation 4, either A1458, A1459, both, or not at all? Thank you.
A: No, this model is not compatible.
A: Yes, I had the same issue when purchasing my folio, and had to take my iPad with me when exchanging the first one I purchased, to make sure I had the correct one.
