Q: How are the cameras powered?
A: Hello, The cameras are powered through the 60' cables with an included 4-in-1 power adapter. The adapter is plugged in near the DVR, and connected into the camera cables. Power is send from the adapter through the cables to the 4 cameras. Thanks, Lorex
Q: Can you see all the camera views at once from the app? or only 1 camera view at a time?
A: Hello, You will have access to view all cameras once you log in, and can switch between full screen views of each camera within the app. Thanks, Lorex
A: Hello, Yes, the DVR and the multi-power adapter can be plugged into a UPS. The system comes with standard 110-240V, 50/60Hz power adapters with North American plug heads for use with standard electrical outlets. Thanks, Lorex
Q: Are you able to extend the 60' cables?
A: Yes, longer cables could be purchased and used with this system.
A: Hello, the system will work as a standalone unit for recording. If you wish to view the unit remotely on a smartphone or computer, then you would need to connect the DVR into your router/modem for access to the internet (however this is not required for the unit to function correctly for local recording only). Thanks, Lorex
A: Hello, The system does not include a guest mode, so if you would like the system to stop running when you are there, you could unplug the unit and cameras from the UPS unit and it would power off. Another option would be to go into the system and turn off the recording from the recording menu, but you would need to re-enable the recording when you leave the property for it to begin recording again. Thanks, Lorex
Q: Can the wires be run in a wall or in an attic by electrical codes ??
A: You have check with your city/county building department for local code requirements. Typically you can run the cables of the Lorex 4-Channel Indoor/Outdoor High-Definition DVR Security Systemin walls or attic space.
