If you desire even more output and bass response than the MC6, the 8” MC8 is the obvious choice. Featuring the same Folded Motion Tweeter and woven fiberglass woofer as the rest of the Motion CI models, the MC8 is all about “more.” MC8 can handle more power, produce more output, and deliver more bass when the fullest performance is desired. An optional retrofittable back enclosure is available for applications where sound control is needed. All MartinLogan Motion CI Series speakers feature our signature Folded Motion Tweeter or FMT. This innovative piece of audio technology provides incredible detail, precise clarity, clean output and high efficiency in a small but mighty package. With Motion XT, we wanted to increase all aspects of performance over the Motion series, so we didn’t just stop at the tweeter. All Motion XT models feature woven Kevlar woofers for increased rigidity and lightness which translates into better sound. In addition to the larger tweeter, and lighter, stronger woofers, MartinLogan’s design and engineering team has fitted the Motion XT series with a more substantial chassis to strengthen the speaker and provide a more accurate sound, like a better cabinet on a traditional speaker.
