A: Most coffee producers recommend 1 tablespoon of ground coffee per cup. Approximately the same for whole beans if you have grinder.

Q: can you brew coffee without using the the perminate filter;using the paper filter
A: I use a #4 cone paper filter which FITS the permanent filter/grinder basket,. I actually buy GROUND coffee and have not used the grinder.
Q: Can this be used with already ground coffee? Or just with beans?
A: Thank you for your question, Mel. This Mill & Brew coffee maker can be used with pre-ground coffee. The grinder can be turned off prior to beginning the brewing process.

The coffee will exit the showerhead between 195°-205° (F). Once brewed from the basket into the carafe, the coffee will hold between 175°-185° (F).
