A: Yes you can either take a new number or port your number you might already have threw another service provider

A: As long as your phone is unlocked. Otherwise, you shouldn't have much trouble. For $5....give it a try to see if it works for you. The first SIM is to try it with an assigned phone number. The second SIM card is for you to transfer your existing number over.
