Help with coughing
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. My mom usually coughs a lot during pre-winter month. After I put molekule mini plus in her room, last night I didn’t hear her coughing as much. I can say her coughing both day and night time reduced about 70%. Wish I purchased it sooner.

Sleek design + Exceptionally user-friendly
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.By adding a Molekule Air Mini+ to our main living space, we’ve been able to reduce the amount of pet dander floating around in the air along with reducing pollen and pollutants. The Mini+ has a sleek neutral colored design that easily blends in to our home decor. The device itself connects to WiFi and is controlled from an exceptionally user friendly app on my phone that keeps me updated on our home’s air quality. I can adjust the air purification strength as needed to improve the air after having the windows open, blowing out candles, (or burning something on the stove. EEK!). The fur babies and I are both breathing easier by having the Molekule Air Mini+ around.

Kule Air-purifier
|Posted .Molekule Air Mini+ I was super excited to get it and now more than ever clean healthy air has been top of mind! I’ll start with the pros: The cleaning technology is very interesting (Photo Electrochemical Oxidation PECO). I really like the approach Molekule has taken. My other purifiers are UV-C based to kill the viruses and mold. With the UV-C technology the air must be circulated serval times to really be able to disrupt the VOCs… or at least that is my understanding. Frankly, I’m not a biologist nor do I have a doctorate in air purifier cleaning technologies, so I just have to take them all at their word on the effectiveness of their technology. But If Molecule can knock out the VOC on the first go around with their PECO technology… well that’s pretty awesome and a big leap in the air-purification! If I get sick and have to quarantine in my house. I plan to have this in the room with me to hopefully not spread anything to the rest of my family through the air. The packaging and set up was very handsome and easy to use. I love how the air intake is circular and then expels the air out the top of the unit. It seems that the top to bottom pull and distribution of the air would lend itself to room circulation. I also like the little things that Molecule took the time to put into the unit. It has a power chord manager on the bottom of the unit so you can wrap up excessive chord and hide it easily. Nice. Easy handle to move it around that is sturdy. The hidden power button and fan settings that come to life when you touch the top of the unit is really cool. I also like the “active mode” concept that should regulate the fan speed based on my rooms air particulate saturation. The companion app (if you wanted to use it) is cool as well. It’s nice to be on the couch and turn the unit up and down as needed. I have it in my bedroom and blast the fan to setting 5 about an hour before I go to bed then turn it down with my phone from bed just before I turn the lights out. Really cool. The Cons: The app while cool, has dropped from time to time and Iv’e had to reset the unit once and restart my phone to get the app working again. The unit has a basic particulate detector. This is just for particulates and not any harmful fumes ect. Ok, great, but mine has shown “moderate” particulates for four days now and I have been running it mostly on active mode which should set the fan to the right speed to hopefully get it into the “good” air zone. I would have thought that four days on constant running in my bedroom with a mix of the “5” setting and “active mode” setting I would have clean air by now. My room is about 200 square feet. On the fourth day it went to “good” quality for a while after running it on level 5 for a couple of hours. but after I turned the fan speed down to “active mode” it went back to “moderate” air quality. I stepped it back up to “5” and it went back to a “good” air quality setting then went back to moderate after turning it down. To be fair, maybe my bedroom air is really particulate heavy… but I had a previous air purifier in the same spot running in that room for three months. How many days should it take to clean the air…even if it was really bad air??? It should be noted that it’s really quiet with the exception of the “5 setting” as one would expect on the high setting. Another thing to be aware of is the replacement filter is $75 and on a cursory look, I could not find a generic version probably because of the cool proprietary PECO tech they use. But all good air purifiers will need new filters so not a big deal but a consideration in ownership. Overall, I like this unit. I would have given it 5 if the app hadn’t dropped a couple times and the air been given a “good” rating after 4 days of continued use. If it only gives the "good" air on the “5” setting that’s not very practical as “5” setting is loud!

Best product for allergies
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. My son has Environmental Allergies. Meaning he’s allergic to anything from dust, detergent, ants, grass, and so much more. He is required to have an EpiPen! This year I made the investment of getting a MOLEKULE air purifier for his room! Considering he has all his Transformers and they collect dust even though he’s very clean with his room. BEST DECISION I’VE MADE THIS YEAR!! He breathe so much better. No stuffy nose, and no allergy flares! So I definitely recommend this. If you are on the fence please ask me any questions. I know it’s pricey but like I said it was an investment in my son health!!!

It does its job well. Rated for 250 sq ft room.
|Posted .This is my first time owning an air purifier unit. I decided to get one because I’m tired of smelling the cat’s litter box, which happens to be located in my bedroom. I’ve lived with the smell for years and finally decided to try one out. So far, this purifier is making a difference. The room doesn’t smell anymore and there’s less dust in the air. The difference is noticeable. This unit has many pros and a few cons. The largest pro in my opinion is this particular model, the Air Mini+, has the ability to detect the amount of particles in the air and will adjust it’s filtration strength and fan speed based on the amount of pollutants in the room. I set up the air purifier between the litter box and my bed and every time the cats go restroom and kick up a lot of liter and dust, the unit detects it and increases its fan speed to suck more of the dirty air into the unit. There is a 4-level indicator scale, represented in different colors by an LED light on top of the unit, that shows you how much debris is in the air. When the air is clear/clean, the LED is green; when it detects a higher level of particles, it’s yellow, and so on. For the most part it runs at the lowest speed (green) but will adjust itself and change the different levels when necessary. For example, I was cooking in the kitchen and setoff a lot of smoke from cooking greasy food, and once that smoke made it’s way into the bedroom, the unit went into overdrive. I think this was the only time it may have reached the highest/dirtiest level. Of course, it was running close to full speed, but it did adjust itself back down when the air was cleaner. In terms of how much noise this unit makes, it’s like a low hum when it’s at its lowest speed. It really doesn’t get too noisy, in my opinion, until it reaches level 3. However, what’s noisy for me may be okay for you, and vice-versa. Unfortunately, I didn’t have an easy time connecting the unit to my home Wi-Fi. The physical setup was easy, but the unit failed to flash the while Wi-Fi indictor light on top of the unit after plugging it in. According to the instructions, once the while light begins flashing, you can begin the pairing process within the Molekule app. I was never able to follow the standard steps in the instruction manual. It took a lot of syncing attempts, along with power cycling the air purifier unit (as suggested by the app) to finally get a successful sync. Hopefully, this process can be improved either through an update to the app or unit in future releases. This is the main reason why this product lost a star. I was a little disappointed on how difficult it was to add the unit to my network and get the app to recognize and connect to the filter. However, once everything was connected, the app has been reliable, and it’s never lost communication with the unit. I like how I can adjust the fan speed from my phone, or simply switch it to Auto Protect mode (particle sensor). Another con is the inability to turn off the color indicator light that sits at the top of the unit. This is the same light that changes color when the unit detects a change in air quality. The light does stop glowing five or so seconds after it changes color, but it turns on every time it changes color. This happens throughout the night and I can see how this can become an issue for some. Fortunately, this doesn’t bother me or my wife. It would also be useful if the app displayed a history of when the unit changed cleaning levels. This is less of a con and more of a wish-list item, but it would be nice to know the different times the unit detected bad air quality and when and how long it adjusted itself to filter the air in those instances. Regarding the cost of this unit. It seems to be slightly higher than comparable products. My guess is due to the type of technology utilized within this unit. While most air purifiers use HEPA filters, this unit uses a PECO filter (photo electro chemical oxidation). Essentially, in addition to a mechanical filter, the unit combines UV lighting to breakdown pollutants at a molecular level. The PECO filter itself is the company’s proprietary technology, but it’s based on a technology known as PCO (photocatalytic oxidation), which has been in use for decades to clean contaminated air and water. Even though this special filtration wasn’t the primary reason I choose this unit, it may be important to individuals looking to have a higher level of filtration, and therefore cleaner air circulating inside their home. But keep in mind, each model is rated for a specific square footage. This particular unit (Air Mini+) is rated for a room no larger than 250 square feet. In my case, this was the perfect size for my master bedroom. Overall, I’m happy with this unit. And I’m glad I decided to finally get an air purifier for my room.

Amazing air purifier; low profile; high quality
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This air purifier is amazing. My wife and I have loved getting to use it in our nursery and know that the air in there is clean. It’s very portable and has a nice, low profile. So it’s not going to take up much of the room. But the quality is top notch. It’s also nice being able to use the app to see what the air purifier is doing, although you can control everything from the top of the device.

Minimalist aesthetic, Quiet, Easy to Use
|Posted .Pros: * Attractive and minimalist design * Portable with a nice vegan leather carry strap * Simple and hidden controls and displays * Wifi connectivity to an easy app * Quiet under normal circumstances * Convenient filter replacement subscription Cons: * Slightly pricey replacement filters My Review: An air cleaning device is something you’ll probably keep out in the open. As such, it would be best if it’s attractive to look at and not too annoyingly loud. The Molekule Air Mini+ meets both of those needs. Not only is it nearly inaudible under normal circumstances, but its minimal aesthetic makes it both blend in to the room and look nice while doing so. The packaging is typically your first experience with the product even before setting it up. Normally, you just unbox the contents and discard the package with no further thought. In this case, the packaging design and materials set up a great expectation for what’s to come. Even the power plug has a neat box covering the end to inform you to keep the unit plugged in and on all the time. Setup was easy enough. You basically just twist and lift the outer shell, then remove the filter from its bag and put the shell back on. Even getting the unit up on WiFi was simple. This unit’s big brother has a nice full color screen, but even though this model is less expensive, it still has a simple and useful display and control on top. There are icons that light up to inform you of the unit’s operating mode (automatic or the fan speed) and filter status. These icons disappear after a few moments to leave a clean and attractive appearance. There is a single button that shows the icons again and can also be used to change the fan speed/mode or turn the unit on or off. The app is simple and attractive, too. It’s nice to see that a product’s holistic design was considered; from the packaging to the setup to the use. Well done! To ensure you always have a fresh filter when its time to replace the one in use, there is an optional subscription program. They send you filters before you need them so you don’t have to worry. My only complaint is that the filters are a tad pricey… currently about $75 each and they estimate you’ll need 2 per year. That’s about $150 a year in filters that you need to consider; although other high-end brands of air filtration systems are about the same. Overall, this unit completely fulfills its promise of providing clean air with an attractive and easy to use design.

Quality Purifier
|Posted .With allergy season upon us and experiencing our current situation with COVID, many are looking for quality purifiers. I was happy to get the chance to test out the Molekule Air Mini+. This type of purifier states it can indicate mold, bacteria, allergens, and viruses. A little bit about myself. I have had allergies/asthma for a long time. While I can not make medical recommendations, this review is based on the effect it had with me. The device comes with a book of instructions to help set up your Molekule Mini plus. You have to untwist it to remove the plastic wrapping and place the filter on securely. I like that the cord has a slot that you can secure it in. Once the purifier is set up, you need to download the app. There are three different ways the purifier is activated. The first way is by tapping the air purifier at the top and selecting the different fan setting preferences, the second is by allowing the purifier to be in activated mode for when it senses the air needs to cleanse impurities, and the 3rd option is through your device. There are 5 settings for the fan. The indicator light that is in a circle changes colors to let you know the air quality of the room. Upon setting the device up was pleased to see that the particle matter levels in the house indicated green which means that the air quality was good. The areas that I placed the Molekule Mini plus that I currently do not have purifiers in, the particle matter indicated yellow (which stands for moderate air quality). After the purifier was put to work, the air quality began to change and the particle matters level indicator turned green. The product recommends sleeping with the purifier near you overnight. PROS: 1) Purifier switches on automatically when it detects the air quality has changed due to the sensor that is built-in. This helps in regulating the fan speed for the air purification process. 2) Within one day, I could tell the difference in the air quality in the room. It keeps the air clean and fresh. 3) I woke up breathing better than usual. Could tell the allergens in the room was reduced. 4) Ability to use my cellphone to check on the device from anywhere in the house. Really cool. 5) To place the device on Auto-Protect is nice from your device or by tapping the purifier itself. 6) Ability to add more than one device. 7) Indicator lights to help you know when to change your filter and if the filter your replacing the purifier with is not an authentic one. CONS: 8) The filter needs to be changed approximately every 6 months. For the price point wish it was yearly. However, most standard purifiers have to be changed about every 3 months. So for me more of a dream preference.

Q: Questioncomparing this to the Mini, the specifics of the mini says Ozone -free, but this one does not say that. Could you please clarify?
Asked by jeanette.
- A:Answer Hi Jeanette, all of our devices use the same underlying PECO technology and none of them generate any ozone as a byproduct. The only differences between Air Mini and Air Mini+ are the particle sensor and Auto Protect mode that Air Mini+ comes with. All Molekule air purifiers are ozone-free.
