Why isn't this an arcade game?

If a parent buys their kid this game for them, I kind of understand, but in my opinion, you would be better off just buying the board game. $40 is waaay too expensive for this game. In a sense, this game is too kid-friendly because there is no xbox live play. Really you are paying $20 more for a video game instead of the board game where you still need somone to play with you. So in my opinion, spend the extra $20 elsewhere and spend some time with the family playing the original board game.

We were quite excited at having Monopoly for the Xbox and looking forward to playing. After going through three copies of the game, we found it was not a bad disk we had, but a problem with the game itself. It freezes at random on both of our Xbox's and a friend's. Even worse than the game freezing is the horrible interface. I'm wondering if the game publisher did any user interface testing. You can't skip through animations, and unlike most games where you just hit "A" or some other button to continue, you have to move the cursor after every action in order to select the option to continue. Sounds little a trivial thing. But, once you play the game and see how annoying it is, you may not want to continue playing. Fortunately, we only paid $20 for the game. Any more would have been a waste.

What a blown opportunity! If they had included a multiplayer option this game could have been huge, well at least as popular as Uno is. Too bad they rushed this out the door and didn't take any time to add online mode in. And they are misleading customers by putting the Live Logo on the cover. I suppose you can get updates and maybe leaderborads, I dont remember.

its monopoly, if you like monopoly by all means buy it, but monopoly gets boring fast, and by all means, lower the price...it is monopoly, this should be a $10 game. no board game is worth $30 in my opinion. they have some good modes of play and it is monopoly, but at the same time..its monopoly. i loved monopoly but could never get anyone to play with me growing up, now i can play the console version and realise why i could never get any one to play with me. the game gets tiresome after a few games and i am now in a "i dont want to see monopoly" mood, maybe i will play it again in a few years. i can recommend the game for family game night, or a monopoly fanatic..but i do not recomend the game just to buy as a game, but most people know that becuase who really breaks out the monopoly bored out at home when they are alone. but in my opinion it isnt worth the $30 price tag for any reason just becuase it is a board game, there isnt enough in a board game to warrant a price higher than $10 unless the peices are made of gold or something. all in all it is a good monopoly port but as long as the monopoly games have been out they need to lower the price to something more reasonable.

I was kind of hoping that this game would include the Here and Now edition board. It doesn't. It does contain the world board which is kind of fun, but the other boards are kind of lame. I feel like they could have done so much more with this game. Overall, I was pretty disappointed. Buy the real board game... it's just as much if not more fun.

I love this game. If you could only play on X box live it would get a 5 star rating.

Bought with the intention of playing against others over XBox Live. No luck, this doesn't have it even though it has the LIVE logo on the front of the box.
Would not have paid $40 if I had realized it was not XBox Live compatible.
