Connectivity
the PP 4 Digital Phono/USB Preamplifier makes it easy to add phono to many of today's stereo amplifiers and AV receivers that have either eliminated the phono input or included a low quality circuit for attaching your turntable.
Reduced Power Consumption
As part of NAD's commitment to the environment, the PP 4 features a more efficient “green” power supply that reduces power consumption. The PP 4's Auto Power Down feature saves energy by automatically powering the PP 4 to OFF when not in use.
Software Included
The PP 4 also includes VinylStudio Lite Software for ripping LPs and burning audio CDs.
USB Interface
The PP 4 goes one step further with a USB interface, shielded USB cable and recording level control which combine to reduce noise and improve the analogue-to-digital conversion process.

Nice preamp, but....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This preamp worked really well with my turntable and Receiver, which does not have phono level inputs. Unfortunately, it died a few weeks in. Best Buy gave a full refund, and I am trying another brand as a replacement. I’ve had several NAD products in the past, all high performance and reliable. Maybe an anomaly...I’ll” try again with them I’m sure.

Works great!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After checking online about this product I decided to buy it. After I hook it up to my receiver and turntable and play a record my roommate screamed " lower the volume " I knew it worked boosting the volume I also hook it to my computer to record and it recorded perfectly. Very great product as it serves all my needs

Good but not great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the reviews I read before I made this purchase was that it made the person's records sound louder, and while I don't necessarily hear that much of a difference in volume, I do notice a difference although it is hard to put into words what that difference is...maybe, better sound quality?

Great pre-amp, with bonus USB output
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ordered this to replace a 13-year old Pro-ject Phono Box II, which seemed to hum no matter what I did with grounding, power supplies, and cables. Sound on line output: impressive solid bass definition, smooth midrange, and transparent detail in high frequencies, with very little hum or noise. Great dynamic range on a pre-amp at this price. Hookup: All options MC/MM & Phono/Line input selectors have discrete connections & switches. It took me a couple tries to get the right connections made. Power brick is small, but still takes up more than a plug’s width. How does the power button work? I can turn it on but not off. It’s a mystery. Doesn’t appear in the quick setup diagram.

Reasonably OK for a cheap PreAmp
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As I am in the process of deciding on a new amp and my current one did not have a phono front end I did not want to spend a fortune on a MM PreAmp. Does the job and reasonably well for the price.

Q: QuestionWill this work with my Pioneer PL-7 turntable ? 1) Does it have RCA jacks ? 2) does it have a ground screw for my turntable ground wire to use ?
Asked by Bob.
- A:Answer Actually, this unit does have RCA jacks for input from the turntable AND output to an amp/receiver. Not sure why someone would say it doesn't have jacks.
