A: Trays and screens are plastic, i believe. They also come with i would say like rubber solid cooking sheet. Havent used them yet. Used machine twice, once for jerky about 4 hours. Then peppers which i did for avout 18 hours. (Over night) unit qas to hot to the touch. I believe its a great machine and purchase
