Q: do these cameras come with software or wiring instructions to view what they are surveying?
A: No wiring needed--just mount and down load app (we have ours on our smart phones). Everything you need to manage the system is displayed on the app. It is amazing what it can do & the clarity is great. I was so glad we didn't have to run cables into our house.
A: It records video and Everything is saved on a cloud that you access through the app. If you need more storage for it you can purchase it. You can also adjust the increments for which it records when activated
Q: How well do they view/record in low light?
A: The Arlo Pro cameras record very well at night. Unfortunately, you cannot read car tags, which would be great for our community watch purposes, but you can clearly make out vehicles and easily identify people walking.
