Q: I have the setting on 65. Why does the 65 sometimes flash?
A: Thank you for contacting Newair. Once the temperature has reached the temperature set at the thermostat, the heater AH-450B light will blink and the heater will shut off. A: These heaters are electric with a power cord. The oil circulates inside the sealed steel/metal columns. There is no smell from the oil as it is sealed inside.
Q: Does it get hot on the outside? on the top? Is it safe for cats if they jump on it ? Thanks

A: When in ECO mode the temp will flash when the required setting has been met.
